Are you aware of a concept called democracy? It's where the public controls their own government by way of popular vote. If the public doesn't like a particular policy then they can vote for politicians who promise to change it. If they don't do that then they support the policy. The reason government run health care never gets overturned once implemented is because people like it.

Thinking the TSA is an annoyance is completely different from wanting to abolish it. We live in a democracy. In a democracy the people have to power to decide the policies of their government. They have the ultimate power. If the majority of the public wants to get rid of any government program, they can use that power to do so. When you acknowledge that these programs rarely get removed, you are conceding that the public likes them. Very good.
