It's shocking how little facts you have as a basis for your opinions.
Lol! Your first argument was "Ermahgerd, muh bankruptcy!" Which sounded nice in your head, but you didn't bother to look at it at all, because statically bankruptcies in general are near non-existent in the US, and are also often used as a financial strategy. So you shifted to an extremely vague poll as some sort of evidence, which then got picked apart because it didn't provide anything of value or detail, so then you once again went back to "Ermahgerd, muh bankruptcy!"
Lol, you're doin' great.

You implied that no Americans have trouble paying medical bills, which not even the dumbest of conservatives believe, yet somehow you do, I proved you wrong, and now you're flailing and saying that surveys don't count because they don't survey every American. So now you're arguing against math. If you want lose even more than you already have then just keep on doing what you're doing.

No I didn't, that's how you chose to take it, which was intentional because that was the only way you could try and argue against my point, to alter it mentally. That's your problem.

Then when Corwin suggested that countries with universal health care don't leave their citizens in debt and you replied with, "Fun, I don't know anyone suffering from that problem either!" then what point were you trying to make?

What he actually said:
Hey Rob, remember the last time one of your friends or family was suffering from crushing medical bills?
What I said:
Fun, I don't know anyone suffering from that problem either!
This is a factual statement, I don't know anyone suffering from crushing medical bills. I don't. You then decided to alter my statement in your head and take it as me saying "no Americans have trouble paying medical bills." I didn't say that nor imply it, ever, you have made a fool of yourself and argued your way into the retard corner in here and you're trying desperately to flail yourself out.

So you're saying your statement wasn't an attempt to refute the suggestion that America's health care system leaves many Americans struggling to pay their medical bills, but was just a pointless anecdote about your own personal life that didn't refute anything? Ok, I can accept that. Since you didn't even try to argue his point it looks like we both agree with Corwin that government funded universal health care is the best option. I'm happy we came together on this.

I'm saying Democrats are lying and Europeans are ignorant when they suggest that we have a massive problem in the US of people not being able to afford Healthcare. Statistically it's just false and fear mongering. I see you're desperately trying to flail out of this because every one of your arguments you presented here was stupid and vague and actually disproved your false narrative.

Lol, no you didn't! All you did was first say muh bankruptcy to where I showed you that statistically nobody files bankruptcy so that argument doesn't work, then you posted an extremely vague poll that proved nothing. Did you guys change the definition of the word "evidence" as well? You guys on the left tend to change definitions quite a bit for political reasons, so Mayne I'm not up to date.

"Statistically no one files for bankruptcy." Lol. According to the data I saw about half a million families a year file for bankruptcy. 2/3rds of them are filing for bankruptcy due to being unable to pay for their medical expenses. In countries with universal health care coverage that doesn't happen, which was Corwin's point. They also don't face medical bankruptcy, which according to the survey I showed, 1/4th of Americas do. I'm sorry, but those are the facts. If you have a source to refute any of what I said then do so. If you don't, then just keep resorting to desperate ad hominem attacks.

Yes, that sounds like a big number, until you realize it's out of 209mil adults. It's like a quarter of a percent. A statistical non-existent. You intentionally leave out context, this is what Democrats do, it's fear mongering.

You want to revise that statement, or are you sticking with the claim that 1/4 of Americans face medical bankruptcy?

I'm just quoting what the survey found. "At least 24% of survey respondents in the US are currently facing medical bankruptcy." I'm sure there are other studies that show it's lower, as well as some that show it's higher, but you will find none that say there aren't millions of Americans who are struggling to pay medical bills.

OK, so let's break that down here, and for your sake, even though you said all Americans, we'll go with adults, 209mil of them. .25% of adults file bankruptcy in the US, or 500K, give or take. That's it, that's how many adults file bankruptcy in the US, 500K, 66% appears to be the amount for medical debt, so 330K people actual file for bankruptcy because of medical debts. What you're suggesting, though, is that while only 330K people actually file, 25% of adults in the US are facing medical bankruptcy, or 52 million people are on the verge of filing for medical bankruptcy. That's what you're saying here? You see the problem here? Maybe using vague polls isn't the best way to go about arguing.

The 500,000 figure includes families, so it involves more than 500,000 individuals. Even if it were just 500,000 people, that is only one year. Over ten years that's 5 million people. About 3 million of that would be due to medical expenses, or about 1% of the total US population filing for bankruptcy due to medical debt over a ten year period.
Considering most Americans are not facing major medical issues at any given time, this 1% figure actually represents a much greater percent of those who have medical bills to pay. And this is only bankruptcy we're talking about. This does not account for those who don't file for bankruptcy but who still struggle to pay their medical bills. The unavoidable fact is, we have a health care system in this country that leaves millions of Americans struggling financially. They don't have this in countries with universal health care, which was the whole point.
If you want some more numbers to crunch, I found some more for you:
https://www.retireguide.com/retirement-planning/risks/medical-bankruptcy-statistics/
5% of Americans with medical debt owe more than $100,000.
32% of Americans with medical debt say it’s unlikely they will ever be able to pay their medical debts.
56% of insured Americans have medical debt, compared to 59% of uninsured Americans.
17% of Americans with medical debt currently aren’t paying it off.
Including premiums and deductibles, U.S. adults spend an annual average of $12,500 on medical expenses.
On average, couples that retire at age 65 pay a total of $275,000 in medical bills for the remainder of their life.
Collective American medical debt totaled almost $200 billion in 2019.
About 51% of single-person households with private insurance reported they’d be unable to pay a $6,000 medical bill. 32% reported they’d be unable to pay a $2,000 bill.
6% of adults in the U.S. owe more than $1,000 in medical debt.
Collective American medical debt totaled almost $200 billion in 2019.
48% of adults with medical debt used up all or most of their savings to pay it off as of 2022.
What a great system.

Lol, so we can agree that your claim that 25% of all Americans are facing medical bankruptcy is complete bullshit and makes no sense. Perfect. Now the majority of what you posted relies on the statement that X amount of Americans hold "some medical debt." As I mentioned many times, you see the problem with how vague this is, right? You see that?

It may be 25% of Americans, that's what one survey found. You dispute those numbers so I went with the figures you do agree upon and they still prove you're grossly mistaken. Your numbers show a significant portion of the American population struggles due to medical expenses. What Corwin was suggesting was accurate, and your attempt to refute it was just wrong. Our health care system is broken. You proved it yourself.

What Corwin said, where he said he knows nobody with crippling Healthcare debt, may be accurate, it was also accurate when I said I know nobody with crippling Healthcare debt. What we can both agree on is that random vague surveys are easily manipulated or just made up by people pushing an agenda, which was clear in your random survey you posted, and that when people like you and Bernie say we have an epidemic of people drowning in medical debt that's just a lie. It's not true. You can keep flailing all you want.
I will agree we have a broken Healthcare system, though, we have way way way too much government control and over-regulation, we need more free markets.
