Barnes not only has McClane’s back when everyone else is dumping on him, he also
solves how to contact the planes
, potentially saving thousands of lives, plus he
works out where the bad guys are hiding out
. Yes, he’s not played by a great actor (although he is very likeable), yes, he doesn’t have as much dialogue as the competition, but for sheer usefulness… Barnes wins hands down. -
