Desperately trying to grab some dude's blaster while surrounded by bodyguards was a pretty weak Plan A.
Plus, I also blame him for Leia and Chewbacca's capture, whether he was involved in the planning of that harebrained scheme or just negligent. -

They were definitely ****ing that whole time Han was in carbonate. Honestly we don’t know anything about the biological makeup of force sensitive people in SW. We don’t know anything about their cultural stance toward incest.
What we do know is Lucas borrows a lot from our spiritual ethos which is directly manifested by our psychology. And there is a phenomenon in psychology where people who are biologically related but who don’t grow up together will develop intense physical attraction to one another. Like, super attracted to committing incest. But only if they didn’t grow up together.
