Vicki wanted to dump the body, leave evidence behind, and go on without acknowledging what had happened. Burt wanted to find someone to report the incident to and to present the evidence to.
Enough nagging and you eventually get tuned out - which is what ended up happening to Vicki. Something like the boy who cried wolf.
And my daughter called Vicki a bitch within the first five minutes. -

I had a much longer rant here but decided to delete it after reading the very last remark at the end of this thread. This "fluff-person" has decided to share with us his knowledge that we can thank the Black culture specifically Black Rap and Hip-Hop for saturating our society with the word.
I decided to Google the origins of the current popular use of the topic of our discussion and this is what I found and thought some of you might enjoy reading it. The author of the essay is Clare Bayley who wrote it for a class on "Feminist Political Thought" at MIT. Please don't let the course title keep you from reading her paper.

I might bring it up to illustrate the point that the same people who whine about "whitewashing" seem to have no problem with "blackfacing."

You will notice that the first few definition are not gender specific. They are using slang, most of which was to put emphasis on the character's excessive nagging and/or complaining.
Personally, I believe their relationship was over the top. It was so bad that I was just glad one of them died so it would end. Furthermore, she honestly didn't seem resonable at all. No one in the movie did. The little boy trying to warn her husband was the most reasonable character, in my opinion. If he had listened to her and kept driving, they would have lived. That doesn't mean she is reasonable. She was actually very frantic, espeically in her attempts to insult her husband.
Anyways, you may be a lot happier if you calmed down and didn't take offense so quickly. -

The first time we meet her she's yelling at her boyfriend, and then when he accidentally runs a kid over, which he's PROBABLY in shock over, she starts screaming at him non-stop about how he just murdered a boy and is going to jail (when it turns out he didn't even cause the boy's death) Not to mention she constantly takes shot at him every single time she can. So no, she's called a bitch because that's what she is. -

I am a woman, and after her first little rant my first thought was 'What a bitch!". That opinion did not improve throughout the movie. I don't think it is right to refer to all women as bitches, but in some cases it fits. This is one of them. And what do her looks have to do with anything? Pretty women can be just as bitchy as less attractive ones.
She blames him for everything, yells constantly, deliberately pushes all his buttons, and denigrates his military service. Where I am from, that is considered being a bitch by women as much as by men. -

I'm a woman and I thought she was a bitch. Black, White, Asian, Puerto Rican, I don't give a damn. I'd have bitch slapped her too. She was a foul mouthed, disrespectful, harridan. Sure she made some good points at times such as "there's no cars. no people." but that only gets you so far. She's one of those people we clearly refer to as too stupid to live.
