What is cheating?

I’ve never really cheated on a partner physically. I have cheated with people. Where feelings between paramours do develop, can it really be a truly selfish act?
It depends on the perspective. From the legitimate partners perspective, their significant other’s affair is selfish. Indeed the taboo nature of the activity makes everything more exciting. This is selfish because the pleasure is feeding off of the potential to harm your partner. Naughty naughty
I think it’s not always so cut and dry, but it’s primarily selfish and often borne out of low confidence. Why not just dump the person you’re with and get with the other person? Fear of being alone, perhaps.
This is all tangential to my op. What is cheating, thirsty? Should we not flirt with women if we are involved in a monogamous relationship with one? No talking to women? Not even online? No eye ****ing!!? Where do we draw the line?

Cybering, eye ****ing, etc is nothing. The act itself stems from low confidence and the ability to be manipulated. I’ve never cheated either but I’ve always found the excuse, whether by man or woman, to be incredibly selfish “I was drunk”, “you weren’t paying me enough attention”, “I have needs.”
Social media is one of the main reasons people cheat. It inflates ones’ mind once they start getting the attention they crave. It’s a poison that can infect your very soul; making you believe you’re something you aren’t. This is Philosophy 101. -
