βIn addition, because CPW officers will act to protect the public in any wildlife conflict, it could lead to the death of a moose.β.
More proof why humans are the biggest asshole species on the Earth. -

I dunno man.
I just get sick and tired of these stories of where animals are murdered just being themselves.
They were all here first and then we move in and force them out where they are finding less and less spaces to move to with development and make or force the ones that remain to adapt to living with us.
And when they get wild and attack then we blame them for being in the wrong and treat them as if they are criminals and execute them.
We are not the only species on earth.
We just act like it. -

Most moose don't end up killing people. This one was obviously prone to dangerous behavior. It needed to be put down. Government officials have an obligation to protect the public. This just seems like common sense to me.
I love animals as much as anybody. But I hate weak sentimentality. Do what needs to be done.

The moose was protecting her kids.
The lady would not have been attacked if the development had not infringed on the turf of the moose.
We as a species hate and are at war with nature and killing animals for no good reason at all is part of it. -

It doesn't matter whatever wrongs were done to the moose. That 79 year old woman was not going to hurt that moose's "kids". Humans need to provide a safe environment for other humans. If that involves killing a moose, then so be it.

The moose is not being punished. It is being eliminated as a menace to society.
No one is making a moral judgment about Bullwinkle's behavior.

But what if it was just a "one and done" type of thing?
Does that still make it "as a menace to society?"
How does that make it different if a human mother was shooting at an intruder who broke into her house and we think she was doing it to protect her kids?
Would you want her killed?
