Didn't the cockfighting bother anyone?

I thought the cock fighting scene was one of the more interesting parts of the film. It brought back memories of a few cock fights I had the pleasure of attending many years ago when I spent a short time in Louisiana. I will never forget watching as a local sheriff's deputy in full uniform stood in the fighting pit ready to unleash his bird.
It is also worth noting that the cocks that lost were immediately being cleaned, later to be served up as delicious southern fried chicken. Under those circumstances, I don't personally see anything wrong with cock fighting. If I was a chicken, I would much rather go down as a fighting cock with a chance in the ring than simply having my head lopped of and thrown into a cooking pot. -

What about the woman who was shot for losing her balance while holding the umbrella? As heartless as it sounds, blowing up innocent people in hopes of killing a target at least has an upside; killing that woman was done just for effect. Unneeded. Max was a bastarto, sure, but that scene made him a maniac.

I always though another part of the reason he shot her was because he was talking about highly sensitive matters with her in ear shot the whole time. Almost like he was willing, and planned the whole time, to sacrifice a human life just so he can have some shade while he talked about his treasonous plots.

I think there's worse things than watching and betting on a cockfight. I don't support animal cruelty, but you can do worse things to an animal, or just do in general.
Besides, it allowed them to blend in with the locals. It was good cover. -

You're complaining about cockfighting? Really? They are fvcking chickens. My god what has happened to the world? Some type of animal lover I guess. I'll rebember this when deer hunting next season. Freak.
