Shutting down boards to censor negative reviews.
I never thought I'd see the day.
The videogame industry basically started buying off critics and quality of games and number of third party developers sunk like a stone. I've noticed over the years the same thing happening to Hollywood and movies. I thought movies were incapable of having this sort of thing happen, but I guess I was wrong.
Hopefully, people see through what is going on and fight back with boycotts of theaters and Amazon. We can only pray. -

You need to look up the definition of criminal. The message boards are a service that they can choose to revoke at any time. It is actually 'criminal' to attempt to remove someone's rights by forcing efforts toward nonvoluntary labor. And outright unamerican.

Are you an idiot? Do you think I'm talking about robbery or homicide? I'm talking about unethical business dealings, movie and TV studios buying newspapers and message board sites, which is absolutely wrong. It's an anti-trust case. I know Dumb-Dumb is in office, but this has to be addressed, and fast.

Are you an idiot?
See, this is the problem.
People being defensive, rude and antagonistic for no real reason.
It shifts the tone of the conversation and the whole thread ends up toxic.
You can blame yourself for being part of the issue that is causing this site to shut down the forum. -

Sorry it has nothing to do with "Negative Reviews" posted on IMDB. The majority of the viewing public has no IDEA what IMDB even is. It's the passionate people posting that has lead to the closing of the boards, nothing more.

You must be a shill to say something like that. It sounds exactly like what the other obvious shills have been saying on these boards for years.
The fact that they're closing them down and the news is making a huge deal of it proves you wrong. -

Nah, it's their website.
If they want to close the forums, they have every right to.
There's really nothing to fight.
Just go to another site's forums. -

Thanks for having sense, you seem to be one of the few here that does. The thing that the majority of these trolls don't get is that IMDb doesn't need a reason to close the forums, and they certainly don't owe us anything. They offered a free service, with terms and conditions, and people abused the service.

They aren't shutting down the message boards because of negative reviews, they're shutting them down because the majority of boards are being used by online trolls who do nothing but spew negativity and bully anyone who dares to like a movie they didn't.
Are you an idiot?
You're one of the reasons they are shutting it down, congratulations. -

It all comes down to money. If insulting others was so horrible, Parliaments all across the UK and Europe would have been shut down by now.
You guys need to grow up if you think something needs to be shut down because you can't handle the opinions of others.
This is sad.
