The X-Men has had longevity unlike other Marvel characters who is not named Spiderman.
Says you.
Thor 1, Thor 2, Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, Age of Ultron, Hulk and The First Avenger are all lackluster movies.
If you're ashamed of comics, maybe.
Marvel's own fear of people loosing interest in their films is why had Civil War,
A spectacular film.
Marvel is more worried about the decline in popularity of the Avengers movies. Unlike MCU, X-Men's popularity is not linked to the movies. Fox can start X-Men all over again, what can Marvel do?
Keep on with successes and working on all the characters that were neglected for years because of the X-Men. -

So that is why those movies had pretty much less than nothing to do with the actual comics? -

No he is not. Fox bought the film rights to X-Men during the 90s. They didn't buy the film rights to Deadpool until 2005. Doesn't matter if he was a member of X-Force, because Deadpool has also teamed up with The Avengers a bunch of times as well.

Before I clicked on the article I already knew this thread was bullshyt knowing Claremont.
Claremont confirms what we already know about Disney's take over. Claremont blames marveldisney for ruining the series not fox. he states the war between disney and fox has greatly affected the comics. Like we the fans have not said that already like 100 times. remember the twins loosing their mutant heritage
Wsn't it like last year when he bashed Marvel because Marvel banned him from creating any new mutants because it means fox gets them? Geez MCU fanboys your stupidity is beyond believe .funny no place in the article did he say X-Men should revert back to marvel for artistic reasons.
If you are going to quote the great Chris Claremont. get it right.
