Savatar = Future Barry!

Hmmm.. does seem that way, yes.
But then why did Thawne need to give Barry his powers?
I thought Thawne said there was no Speedforce without Barry.
Or was that just for him.
Because Barry "inspired" him to become Reverse Flash.
Gonna see if I can find that somewhere. -

I'm starting to think that Barry wasn't the first speedster.
And all I could find about Thawne and his limited connection to the Speed Force was: He needed Barry to become the Flash earlier than it would happen in 2020 so he could steal his speed.
He "used up" his Speed Force by traveling through time, appearantly.
And seeing as the Speed Force itself said that it was around for.. forever.
Plus, Thawne still had a connection to the Speed Force, only a weak one.
Barry probably wasn't the first Speedster.
Still keeping my fingers crossed for Future Barry as Savitar though. -

That.
And the message from future Barry.
"Don't trust anything or anyone.. not even me"
I'm not sure anymore that future Barry is Savitar, seeing as Savitar was the first speedster and Barry probably wasn't the first.
But I still hope so. -

Because Future Barry is on a quest to change the timeline to save HIS future Iris.
In his mind, it doesn't matter what he does.
Once he's fixed everything, he'll get his Iris back.
(But like I said to other people here, not so sure it's Future Barry anymore) -

I'd like for it to turn out to be Eddie Thawne, thrown back in time, revived and granted powers by the singularity that he got swallowed up by right after his death. That would mean the Post-Flashpoint timeline is where Eobard originally came from.
He lied to us through song! I hate when people do that." -

Oh That would be cool.
Eddie would explain why he knows everyone.
Wait, did Eddie know Wally?
It would appear that the version of Savitar they fought and threw into the Speed Force was an older, future version; who had previous contact with Team Flash at some later date from the perspective of everyone else. So if it were Eddie, or really anyone, he could learn who they all the next time they encounter him; which will be the first time for Savitar from his perspective.
What I want to know is , are we supposed to assume that Rip hasn't actually already heard this recording? Presumably he would have deleted it if he had
Well, you know, Rip may be one of those people who listens to a message and never deletes them.

What if it's Hunter?
Who escaped the time-wraiths and is now jumping through time (and dimensions) to exact revenge?
Hunter didn't die, right?
At this point I have no idea anymore.
Hope it's future Barry, but it's anyone's game. -

Who was the first speedster?
Who ever went back in time the farthest and became known = 'the first speedster'
If you think about though the fact that Garrick has heard of 'it' either means that there's at least two Savitars if not any number of, or that Savitar has not only been traveling through time but dimension hopping as well. -

Oh, with Savitar's speed I have no doubts he can/could hop dimensions.
And good points about Jay knowing about Savitar and the 'first speedster'.
Do you know if Savitar was the legendary speed-god, or if a person named himself after that speed-god of legend.
Or just how Jay knew about Savitar, history books or via the Speed Force.
(I kinda forgot if this was mentioned, gonna rewatch this season again after it's done)
About the 'first speedster' thing: Yeah, unless Barry goes back into the Speed Force and the Speed Force tells him X was the very first one we gave speed, in our known history it would be the speedster that was first recorded.
Could be any time-traveling speedster in that case.
Still, I also think future Barry's message to Rip has something to do with it.
"Don't trust anything or anyone, even ME"
Guess I just hope it'll be future Barry.
(Also thought that about Zoom at first, blue suit, blue lightning, killing speedsters for their speed.. sounded like one of the Flash comics where future Barry became Blue Flash) -

It's interesting that the concept of 'future Barry' also seems to have a big part of what's happening on Legends, but also the fact that the message was specifically for Rip makes me wonder if the fact that just about everyone found out about it during the crossover means that things are already going to change from whatever the future barry recording was talking about.
What I want to know is , are we supposed to assume that Rip hasn't actually already heard this recording? Presumably he would have deleted it if he had, but who knows. I mean what if this recording came from the 'original' 2024 disappearing Barry, he's fighting with Kendra and others from Legends, maybe he ended up traveling forward to the 2050's to see the results of whatever time meddling
he
did.
Since we finally got a glipse of presumably when and where Rip has been since the season began , we can assume after being reunited he's going to be informed about the message. Perhaps one of the first things he'll say is "I know, that's why I . " -

Hmmm.. that is interesting.
With Barry's short trip to the future then seeing Iris and having a talk about it with Jay, I don't see future Barry checking the future to see what he did..
But.. Barry is Barry and learning from his mistakes isn't his best trait.
It is possible that he vanished in 2024 WITH the Legends to save the future.
Goes totally wrong, Barry is stuck in the future because he doesn't want to meddle with time anymore, but the Legends can still alter the timeline.
I think Rip did heard the message and that's part of why he's gone to the time where he is right now.
Rip probably didn't expect the Legends to find the hidden room.
I think Rip's making a movie about himself and the Legends in Barry's future and how the Legends can 'fix' it.
The entire movie will be a final message from Rip to the Legends and get released shortly before they have to take action.
Rip himself will not be back, I think.
