Can't imagine how Shipp is going to be in it, unless they find a way to age her.
No point in a YA movie, if that YA movie is going to be set in the 90s. That demographic is going to want something the can relate to.

Yeah, I think it has to be projected as a main X-men movie.
So New Mutants is going to basically pick up where Apocalypse ended, sort of starting a new trilogy of films or something like that?

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.

Singer acting undecided about coming back so why not. And Fox better change their thoughts on a trilogy since they said same for Assassin's Creed and that didn't work in their favor.

Assassin's Greed is a video game. Video Games have a long track record of failure.
X-Men already has 3 completed trilogies and a 4th one with Deadpool that should be completed in 2020. How many video games movies have gotten sequels?
          X-Men 1
          X-Men 2
          X-Men 3

          First Class
          DOFP
          Apocalypse
          Origins
          The Wolverine
          Logan
          Deadpool
          Deadpoo/Cable 2
          Deadpool 3/ X-Factor
You are loosing too much credibility my friend.

But it's not being advertised as a video game movie.
Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Silent Hill, Blood Rayne, Tekken, Alone in the Dark
Also, you can't count Deadpool 3. Anything can happen between the not even started filming Deadpool 2 and then. Might as well count the Gambit trilogy, also.

              Mortal Kombat had a sequel
Tomb Raider had a sequel too
Resident Evil has plenty of sequels(one coming out a month from now).
              Shall I continue?

My thinking is that Fox only needs the "X-Men" title to keep the rights.
Fox only needs to keep the X-Men characters active in films to keep the rights where it belongs. The place is not called Disney.
I can't see Disney taking any inspiration from Stephen King or Chris Claremont.

Why should they? Claremont's a hack, has been for over 20 years.

Chris Claremont is a hack to Disney fans because Disney can't make movies from his stories.
X-Men: Dream's End was not 20 years ago.

Because X-men movies are doing so well at Fox that everyone is rioting to go see them.
