I think Charlotte's trials and tribulations will be one short story within a cluster of story stories. That method of story telling is interesting. I think Maze will get more attention soon. I look forward to Uriel.

I have a couple of theories of what might occur:
- God allowed Lucifer to set Mum's punishment. Thus forcing her to be a real 'mother' to her body's real family. But as her power returns, she begins her old tricks again that got her sent to hell to begin with. This results in God sending a real hard-ass like Michael to fix the problem, pitting him against Lucifer and Amenadiel.
- Mum made friends with some of her fellow captives in Hell and wants them to join her on earth. Knowing Lucifer has a way of freeing them, she uses Cloe to force Lucifer to release them. This results in L.A. becoming a sort of demon Disneyland in which Lucifer and Cloe have to hunt them all down again.
- Amenadiel's wings and powers began to fade the moment Mum got loose, indicating a possible link. We might see an episode soon in which she manages to slow time accidentally and perhaps later on her human body begins to develop wings. So as she gains angelic powers, she starts contemplating taking her place back in heaven, by force if necessary.

Just watched Episode 4 and my 1st theory was partly correct. In the Episode 5 preview, Michael does come down to earth to take Mum back to Hell. And they show Lucifer and Michael fighting. Now the question is, did God actually order this, or is Michael taking it upon himself to do it?

Exactly. Everybody always thinks they know what God wants, see Amenadiel and Lucifer arguing about that. But God hasn't spoken on this show yet and we have no idea what His plan really is.
I can't believe Uriel would make Chloe have that accident! Now I'm wondering if Lucifer IS going to kill him!

I guessed the wrong Angel that would come down. Turns out it was Uriel. I'm wondering if Uriel is actually there on his own and NOT by God's command. I'm going to hazard another guess before tomorrow's episode and say that regardless of who sent him, Mum is going to step in and stop either Lucifer killing Uriel, or Uriel killing Lucifer. We've seen from the preview that she's aware Uriel is here and won't stop. I'm wondering if we were given a peek at her powers returning as a setup for her intervening in the fight.

Writers said a female angel will be showing up this season too! Now that's a new development. First female angel in Lucifer.
I like your thought processes. I can definitely see Mom intervening. In that preview, she talks about Uriel like he's a little boy. Perhaps she comes in and sets him straight like moms are prone to do, no matter how old their sons get. lol.

Well, looks like I was wrong about Mum stepping in and you were correct in thinking Lucifer would kill Uriel. As for the female angel, I'm guessing that it's going to be Azrael, the Angel of Death, come looking for her sword.

Without trying to be offensive to you
The Goddess of all Creation turned into a selfish manipulative b*tch, all philosophical sways and turns just died for me there. We see those everywhere and they look less old and plain than she does. There's no excuse for her typecasting on show or casting.
She is the opposite of Creation, she's Destruction. Can't help the only depiction of a 'strong' women a patriarchal society can muster up. I just stopped thinking about her. Oh, she's going to be nasty. Hmmm. OK. Nothing new.
Hmm, something else, bigger and worse comes along. OK. Nothing new there. If you take the procedural road, procedures will follow.
It would have been nice to see an actual Goddess Being thrown into Hell, that would have been a philosophical turn and how she finds her place back, if ever, but this family/cop-drama isn't showing anything new.
Mazikeen is the only one who doesn't look tired and worn-out in the new episodes, BTW. Hard to reconcile with heavenly-beings.
I forgot the show was on last week, caught up yesterday, didn't miss a thing. -

SvR74, your comments express my own reaction most eloquently! I was hoping for so much more from the Goddess of All Creation - although not too much, I think, given who she supposedly is. I agree about Mazikeen. Although I still think Amenadiel has potential. But given the way the show is portraying her, I have pretty much given up on "Mom".

I already explained before I didn't like her manipulative bitchy ways,
so intending to blow up the car of her son's beloved does exactly prove my point that she's NOT 'Goddess of all Creation' but of Destruction. -

I thoroughly dislike her now. She has turned into the stereotypical powerful woman who
"must"
be conniving, manipulative, and without compassion. I feel that they need to either show the male god to be equally evil, or else have her gain a sense of compassion somehow. -

I agree wholeheartedly with you.
I feel we all could use to see creative femininity in all it's glory since we see it so thoroughly suppressed if not abused in normal life and it barely gets to raise it's head above all the relational politics that are going on.
I'm saddened by this reflection on women. -

She needs character development. More episodes may develop her character in different directions. We'll see what happens.
Really, she hasn't had nearly enough screentime for anyone to have a solid reason to give up on her already. Just have some patience. -
