Just NO.

I'm all for Tabby and Barbara doing it if they want, because, you knowadults and choices. Though yeah, we've probably hit the limit as far as that type goes. I actually find characters like Valerie and Selina more interesting and they're fully clothed, but I'm not a 20yr old guy, so I'm prob not the target audience for that. Tabitha does look good in leather!
Ivy feeling 'different' on the inside is just plain f#ckery to justify sexualizing a child. She's mentally a kid and it's gross. Also, the storyline is boring and weird and has no point so far. And I don't understand why she's mean to Selina, so it's just inconsistent. -

i think the idea of it is this
in the comics she used her sex appeal/good looks(whatever you want to call it without making any1 upset) to get what she wantsi think they are trying to show that ivy herself it starting to learn and experiment that she can use her new looks to manipulate men to get what she wants .and that's also giving her a confidence boost and full of herself .compared to the old ivy who was the exact opposite ..which in the end is making her think she doesn't need anyone anymore including selina
well that's what i think
starting to see that when she uses her looks -

Doesn't sit right with me either. Especially how the writers try to justify it with the "she's also older on the inside" nonsense and actually have people believing it.
They clearly wanted an older Ivy, but they went about it the wrong way. In the scene with the man who found her, she was acting the same way she did as a child and speaking in the same exact manner. It bothered me so much while watching.
If a girl looks older, it doesn't mean she obviously has the maturity to match.
I was wondering why they had Ivy show up at Fish's places , act like a dumbass drawing attention to herself. If was so she could get chased and the old man could use his plot devic I mean powers on her. Powers or not, rapid aging can't give you what experience does. Writers so dumb. Ugh.
This love will be your downfall -

Absolutely agree.
In fact, this is the one thing the show has done that I REALLY don't like. Not just because, yes, it is really creepy and "off" given that whatever explanation they give, she is still a child in an adult body seducing men, but because this ruins the slow buildup they clearly had planned for Ivy in season one.
As said, they could have hired an older, "hot" teen to play her and let her age with Selina and Bruce. Heck, she could be a love triangle character between those two, or just stay as Selina's creepy friend who is going increasingly towards "the dark side" while Selina walks the thin line of morality. They cast Ivy the way they did for an obvious reason: to transform someone who wasn't naturally born with the tools of a sultry seductress into someone who became one through knowledge and willpower, starting with living with Barbara and Increasing as she learned how to manipulate men, until manifesting her plant-based powers later.
Instead it seems they got bored playing the long game, but than now screws up any chance of Ivy/Bruce dynamics.
Plus it got rid of a good child actress. -

Exactly Banjo, exactly.
The original Ivy was a good character because she was a relative peer to Selina, so they could confide in each other and understand each other's feelings and motivations.
Now, Selina is essentially alone, except for Bruce, and Ivy's been transformed into yet another adult fem-fatale - why? We already have Barbara and Tabitha as villains (and sometimes Fish). Ivy was fine as she was, someone you could feel a degree of sympathy for - now I don't even like her. -

^^THIS exactly! They squandered so much potential. They also could've brought in Harley at some point for a few episodes and it would've been cool to see Ivy (and the others) interact with her, pre-insanity.

I don't have a problem with homosexuality, but the Ivy being a child that suddenly becomes an adult is rather creepy. Even in the real world, some kids develop much faster than others and can appear to be much older than they are, but they're still kids, and its still pedophillia/underage sex.

If being uncomfortable with the show aging up a child into an adult body and then writing her having sex with middle age men while STILL being mentally a child makes me an SJW then I guess put me on your blacklist. I assumed being against pedophilia was like, normal human decency type stuff, but I guess I'm an activist for being creeped out by it?

I'm not the type to block people, sorry. Also, there's no pedophilia involved here with the actress playing older Ivy clearly being a grown woman. If they had the younger actress doing those scenes I might've agreed with it, and even in that case it still would've been interesting as a case study.
