It looked like an Inhuman cocoon.

We don't know who he is yet, but that is what happens when someone exposed to the terrigen is transforming into an Inhuman.

Yeah, but that almost looked like a human exposed to terrigen. Which might explain her hatred for inhumans.

hey bicuhang, that makes perfect sense. obviously someone she loved didn't survive contact with the terragen and therefore she hates inhumans

That's what I was wondering. Especially if it was because of another person trying to become an Inhuman that her brother got exposed.

Only problem with that is that the coccoon phase has ever only lasted about a minute.
This cocoon was fully formed, meaning whoever was exposed to Terrigen was still in there.
That is a little quick to jump to full on hate, because of this one person turning.
I suspect there's something a lot more sinister going on. Judging from the way she talked to him it was almost as if the guy in the coccoon was turned against his will, or at the very least without consent or even warning. And since she was going through his mail and was on the phone right there in the room with him, judging by the time frame I mentioned, she must have caused or at least been present at the exposure. Meaning she was exposed without effect, making her Inhuman herself.

I agree her hatred has something to do with that.
The things about the cocoons is that normally it's very quick and doesn't take weeks, looking at the mail lying around.
My concern that it's a human who died is that it looked more like a human statue, which is what happens when a human is exposed to terrigen, which is what this looks like.
Most of the time with Inhumans, the cocoons look more puffy and less distinct human features, like we're saw with that statue.
I'm really thinking her brother was exposed to terrigen by an Inhuman, and died. She might have other reasons to hate, but that would be a good start.
Her talking to him doesn't necessarily mean that her brother's still alive.
But that's just my opinion 🙂

Yeah it looked like Terrigenesis(??) cocoon to me. Apparently her brother died during the process, and it is why she hates inhumans? But if her brother is inhuman doesn't that mean she's also one?
                        So many questions.

I'd say he was human and so the terrigen turned him to stone instead of wrapping him in the cocoon. Usually with the cocoon, there's no real human features like this one had.

Humans don't die from the mist or the fish oil - only from the metal that was holding the crystals when they were first introduced. So unless that was a human that somehow got exposed to that metal I think it's more likely that he was/is an Inhuman and he's just somehow not out of the cocoon yet. Or his power is such that his sister thinks he's dead but he's not etc.
And if the brother is inhuman it doesn't mean the sister is - though she could be.
Reading my signature constitutes admission that I am correct. (Too late)

That had got to be the slowest transformation ever for an Inhuman, looking at the mail.
The transformations we've seen have been pretty quick.
At the end of season three, were saw that Shield still had crystals. Daisy took some to Hyde. After his death, who knows what happened to them.
The contaminating of the food and vitamins happened in season two. You'd think the government, for the most part, would have contained that. Not saying there couldn't be since that escaped their notice.
Plus, the statue looked human, which is what happens when humans turn to stone. With the Inhumans, it looks more like a puffy cocoon surrounding the body.

It is only an inhuman cocoon if that person has the gene , without the gene , the person is dead inside

No that's not how it works. The terrigen mist only makes those who have the Inhuman gene undergo terrigenesis. If someone without it is exposed to it nothing happens. Now when the mist is mixed with diviner metal it is deadly to anyone who is not Inhuman. The man in the cocoon was undergoing terrigenesis.
