Yeah it looked like Terrigenesis(??) cocoon to me. Apparently her brother died during the process, and it is why she hates inhumans? But if her brother is inhuman doesn't that mean she's also one?
    So many questions.

I'd say he was human and so the terrigen turned him to stone instead of wrapping him in the cocoon. Usually with the cocoon, there's no real human features like this one had.

Humans don't die from the mist or the fish oil - only from the metal that was holding the crystals when they were first introduced. So unless that was a human that somehow got exposed to that metal I think it's more likely that he was/is an Inhuman and he's just somehow not out of the cocoon yet. Or his power is such that his sister thinks he's dead but he's not etc.
And if the brother is inhuman it doesn't mean the sister is - though she could be.
Reading my signature constitutes admission that I am correct. (Too late)

That had got to be the slowest transformation ever for an Inhuman, looking at the mail.
The transformations we've seen have been pretty quick.
At the end of season three, were saw that Shield still had crystals. Daisy took some to Hyde. After his death, who knows what happened to them.
The contaminating of the food and vitamins happened in season two. You'd think the government, for the most part, would have contained that. Not saying there couldn't be since that escaped their notice.
Plus, the statue looked human, which is what happens when humans turn to stone. With the Inhumans, it looks more like a puffy cocoon surrounding the body.

I thought she said she was leaving her brother's apartment (to the person on the phone)

Ah. I wasn't paying attention to the dialog. I was stuck on the thought of Coulson's left hand being stuck.

It is only an inhuman cocoon if that person has the gene , without the gene , the person is dead inside

No that's not how it works. The terrigen mist only makes those who have the Inhuman gene undergo terrigenesis. If someone without it is exposed to it nothing happens. Now when the mist is mixed with diviner metal it is deadly to anyone who is not Inhuman. The man in the cocoon was undergoing terrigenesis.

No, from what we've seen previously, if a inhuman is exposed to terrigen, they are wrapped in a cocoon and their powers awakened.
If a human is exposed to terrigen, they are turned into stone, which is what looked like happened here. If say the brother was exposed, and died. That's what makes a terrigen bomb so dangerous to the planet. It would kill off the human population it contaminated, while transforming the Inhumans.
Plus, when exposed, the transformation for inhumans is pretty quick. They have yet to show one that takes days or weeks. It usually happens very quickly.

Daisy and Raina transformed but Triplett turned to stone
Triplett only turned to stone because a piece of the diviner embedded in his abdomen when it was shattered.
The Terrigen ended up in the ocean and entered the food supply via fish and fish oil pills. People with the Inhuman gene transformed when they consumed the contaminated products, but it had no effect on normal humans.

They still have crystals. We saw that at the end of season three. Daisy took a lot to Hyde. With him dead, we don't know what happened to those crystals.
And the contamination happened in season two. You'd think by now the government would have had some containment in place. Not saying some containment might exist. But still.
We know that the crystals still exist.

Yes. Rather funny how at Afterlife Daisy was told they tried to separate the terrigen from the diviner metal but couldn't, and it turns out all they had to do was put the crystals in salt water.

Exactly. The humans turned to statues. Triplet died, then shattered because Daisy 'quaked' coming out of her cocoon. Her vibrations broke him apart.

They turned into statues because of the deviner material.
There has to be a chrystal laced with deviner material in play for the man to have turned into stone.
He also could be an Inhuman whose transformation in the cocoon takes a lot of time.

It could be a long transformation but, one -we have never seen a transformation that took weeks or more (looking at the mail), and two -he looked like a statue.
