That's not quite what I mean by Brit/Irish crime. I mean stuff like Líne of Duty, Hidden, Happy Valley, Blue Lights, Low Winter Sun… They all have a similar vibe, some darker than others.

I have! The national broadcast here channel looooves its brit crime because we do. The rest I can find on youtube or hopefully other streaming apps. There will be some things I can't get hold of, though.
If you get the chance to see the Welsh crime series Hidden (Craith), see it. It's beautiful and sad. The first series straight up haunted me. Great acting. Gorgeous scenery.

Have you seen Mr. Mercedes? Not a British or Irish crime series, but it does star Brendan Gleeson. It's quite underrated, particularly the first season. Although since it is a Stephen King adaptation, things get a little strange later on.
