Yes, according to my TiVo, episode 64, "The Seven Souvenirs," is airing on 9/3, and I don't see any after that. It was only a matter of time before they'd pull it and put something else on. They had cycled through the entire series several times in the last couple of years.

I've seen nothing about MeTV's dropping Svengoolie. What's your source?
I know he's in his 60s and has had at least two heart attacks, but I've heard nothing about his quitting. Can you furnish a link?

I also have heard nothing about this. In recent years some of the schlock horror movie hosts that were national have been disappearing or going back to just local markets. It's a trend, but I can't find anything about Svengoolie's situation.
He said a while ago that he would be the last person to hold that role, and then they'd shut it down. But unless his health has deteriorated more, I think he'll be around for a while. He's approaching retirement age (I think he's about 64), but I've heard nothing about his quittingeither nationally or locally in his original TV market.

Looking ahead when programming cable system dvr shows no Svengoolie for Saturday nights starting Sept 10 when there will be three hours of Star Trek on that night encompassing Sven's old time slot of 10:00-midnight locally.
Frozen Ghost for this Saturday night is last Sven scheduled.
I can't look ahead as far as Sept. 17 so for now that is unknown.
MST 3000 which is on Sunday nights next week is given a 2.5 hour time slot so get ready for lots of filler/commercials.
If you like Madam Secretary learn how to program your dvr if you don't know now. -

It may differ by different MeTV markets. Where I live it lists Svengoolie from 10 to 12, showing "The Cage." At 6, when AoS used to air, it is airing an episode of
The Wild, Wild West
starring Robert Conrad and Ross Martin.

They're not dropping Svengoolieat least not where I live. This week Svengoolie is showing
The Frozen Ghost
at 10 (EDT). A week from tonight they're doing a special 50th anniversary tribute to
Star Trek
, running the premiere episode ("Man Trap") at 9 and, on Svengoolie, the original pilot episode ("The Cage," starring Jeffrey Hunter as Captain Christopher Pike) from 10 to 12. Check local listings for times in your area.

I was wrong re Sven going off air! I mistook "The Cage" broadcast as Star Trek taking over Sven time slot. Actually Sven is broadcasting "The Cage" as part of ST 50th anniversary as has been noted.
I received VHS version for Christmas when it was originally released.
Original video is only about 70 or so minutes so a lot of filler will probably be added.
May Svengoolie be with us for a long time to come.
Again, Sorry guys!!!
I'll try to do better! -

Well, I'm not a fan of Svengoolie. If I want to watch one of Svengoolie's shows, I just DVR it using TiVo and then FF through all his nonsense. That way, I can actually watch a 70-minute show in about 70 minutes.

Yes, they announced this week during the AoS episode that it was "going on vacation," but didn't say for how long. I've been watching it, hoping to see an episode I remember from when I was a kid, when Lois and Jimmy were sealed up in a pyramid (or some kind of underground chamber) and had to be rescued by Superman. For some reason, I remember liking that one, in particular. But so far, haven't seen it.

Thanks. Do you remember what season it was in and the episode number or title, so I know what to look for if/when they start showing them again?

That episode was "Tomb of Zaharan" (original air date 29 March 1957 (Season 5, Episode 4)):

It was fairly late in the series, so if/when they start up again it may take a while to get to it.
The last episode they aired, yesterday, was "The Seven Souvenirs" (original air date 8 October 1955 (Season 3, Episode 12). So if they restart from where they left off, it won't take quite as long to get there.

Well, last night they announced that
AoS
was taking a vacation. So I suppose it will return at some point, because I think it got good ratings while airing there.

it was "going on vacation," but didn't say for how long.
I'm surprised it didn't move to the middle of the night before they axed AoS. One of the cuts that surprised me more was "The Patty Duke Show." It was already early morning, but still M-F. MeTV usually cuts to one episode per week before it axes a show. I hadn't watched the show after it came around for me again a couple of months ago.
