They're not dropping Svengoolieat least not where I live. This week Svengoolie is showing
    The Frozen Ghost
at 10 (EDT). A week from tonight they're doing a special 50th anniversary tribute to
    Star Trek
, running the premiere episode ("Man Trap") at 9 and, on Svengoolie, the original pilot episode ("The Cage," starring Jeffrey Hunter as Captain Christopher Pike) from 10 to 12. Check local listings for times in your area.

I was wrong re Sven going off air! I mistook "The Cage" broadcast as Star Trek taking over Sven time slot. Actually Sven is broadcasting "The Cage" as part of ST 50th anniversary as has been noted.
I received VHS version for Christmas when it was originally released.
Original video is only about 70 or so minutes so a lot of filler will probably be added.
May Svengoolie be with us for a long time to come.
      Again, Sorry guys!!!
      I'll try to do better!

Well, I'm not a fan of Svengoolie. If I want to watch one of Svengoolie's shows, I just DVR it using TiVo and then FF through all his nonsense. That way, I can actually watch a 70-minute show in about 70 minutes.

Yes, they announced this week during the AoS episode that it was "going on vacation," but didn't say for how long. I've been watching it, hoping to see an episode I remember from when I was a kid, when Lois and Jimmy were sealed up in a pyramid (or some kind of underground chamber) and had to be rescued by Superman. For some reason, I remember liking that one, in particular. But so far, haven't seen it. 😞

That episode was the one when they thought Lois was a queen and imprisoned both her and Jimmy. Yes, that one had been on, I think twice.

Thanks. Do you remember what season it was in and the episode number or title, so I know what to look for if/when they start showing them again?

That episode was "Tomb of Zaharan" (original air date 29 March 1957 (Season 5, Episode 4)):
                http://www.imdb.com/board/10506650/reference
It was fairly late in the series, so if/when they start up again it may take a while to get to it.
The last episode they aired, yesterday, was "The Seven Souvenirs" (original air date 8 October 1955 (Season 3, Episode 12). So if they restart from where they left off, it won't take quite as long to get there.

Thanks! I'm sure if they bring it back at all, they'll just pick up where they left off.

Well, last night they announced that
                    AoS
was taking a vacation. So I suppose it will return at some point, because I think it got good ratings while airing there.

I'm surprised it didn't move to the middle of the night before they axed AoS. One of the cuts that surprised me more was "The Patty Duke Show." It was already early morning, but still M-F. MeTV usually cuts to one episode per week before it axes a show. I hadn't watched the show after it came around for me again a couple of months ago.
