I am still pissed off about the fact that this show was canceled! Just yesterday I listened to an interview with Greg W

I want to say that I really liked you're post. I check this forum from time to time and it is usually sadly empty. Like you I still haven't got over the cancellation and I doubt that I ever will. Spectacular Spider-Man is for me what Elsa Bannister was for Michael O'Hara.
"Maybe I'll live so long that I'll forget her. Maybe I'll die trying."
That's how I think back about the show. I mean the 65 episodes, the series of DTV movies that could have been PG-13 I usually try not to think about what we could have had, it hurts to much. I also signed the petition despite knowing that it wouldn't do any good. I never knew that I could get so attached to a cartoon until I saw this. Gargoyles, DCAU, Spider-Man: The Animated Series non of the series I loved as a kid or still likes today could even come close to how much I loved this one.
Unlike you though I haven't managed to re watch the show. I watched a clip once and it made me so depressed that I had to stop watching. I really want to re watch the cartoon and be thankful for the fact that we actually got 26 amazing episodes. I just hope that I will be able to watch it again one day.
When the choice is between a American and a Russian film, always choose the latter. -

I totally agree. I never watched this show on tv. Never heard of it. A couple of months ago I saw the first season on DVD. I thought it was something I could watch with my 5 and 10 year old sons. It is awesome. I can't believe how good this show is. Currently looking for season 2. It is very sad this was cancelled before it's time.

Why do shows this good have such bad luck ?
I don't know what kind of legacy it will have with fans in the future but I think it will always be the quintessential solo Spidey series to me. It was a show that took me by surprise from the first episode and always managed to exceed my expectations with each one that followed. Even if we never get any wrap up or continuation I hope that Marvel eventually seeks ownership of the series so that there might be some life for it after its demise and continue to gain new fans with some kind of tv presence. -
