    R.I.P. Wes Craven
On the recent and shocking passing of one the worlds best loved directors, I feel it is a good time to look at his back catalogue and pick our favourite movies directed, produced or written by Craven TV or Theatrical. Heres some of mine, what are your favourites?
    The Hills Have Eyes (1977)
A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984)
    Scream (1996)
    Shocker (1989)
    Deadly Blessing (1981)
    Red Eye (2005)

A Nightmare on Elm Street, Red Eye, Scream 4, Scream
His others I did not particularly like or have never seen.

Red Eye was a great film Elm St parts 1, 3 & 7 are my favourites in the series and I found Scream 4 better than 2 & 3 but nowhere near as good as the first.

            It's honestly a toss-up between
            New Nightmare
            and
            Scream 2
            .
            And yes, I know that
            Scream
is objectively a better film, but I prefer the more unhinged and more subversive focus and tonality of
            Scream 2
            .
And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?

A Nightmare On Elm Street will always be my favourite. Brilliant film, his best.
Only saw Scream once, and years after it came out. But obviously a very good film. I have all four on DVD that I'm working my way through.
If I was asked to name a lesser known of his film, I'd go for The People Under The Stairs. That was fun.

Elm St., Serpent and the Rainbow, Shocker, Scream 1 and 2, Vampire in Brooklyn, People Under The Stairs, and Deadly Friend. Swamp Thing wasn't so bad either.
I'm so scared your little head will come off in my hands!

                      My favorite is
                      Scream
                      .
                      A Nightmare on Elm Street
                      and
                      Scream 2
                      deserve honorable mentions, though.

                              You've got to be kidding!
Without strife, your victory has no meaning.
Without strife, you do not advance.
Without strife, there is only stagnation.

The Hills Have Eyes is my favorite.
Last House on the Left is my second favorite.
His later films don't interest me as much. NOES is an undisputed classic, of course, but I've never really wanted to revisit it.
