Completely agree. Jack Nicholson plays Jack Nicholson in every film. He's not the great actor people want to make him out to be.

Well NO Jack was awesome in the 1970's Ironweed and a few others after The Shining were good. It's the movies that sucked. He picked a lot of ones I would only watch if I had and that's if I had a Jack marathon.

it's not just that the movies where he doesn't do his thing are good. HIS THING is liken to James Cagney and Bogart and all the legends, and he is a legend.
really though, it's the great movies that make great actors, and he's been in plenty.
