Well I guess it's hard to fake being nice, even if she is an actress. What was it that Oprah Winfrey said about fame? It only amplifies who you are. So can you just imagine what she must have been like when she was part of the Hollywood A-list?

Exactly, that is why she probably lost custody. She seems to have a lot of problems in every aspect of her life. Her acting has gone downhill as well as her looks. It also appear that her staff has filed lawsuits. There must be a reason.

I'm sorry that you had a BAD experience with the prickly Ms. Stone. She should be reminded of the old story, "be kind to those that you meet on the way UP, because you will probably meet the same people, on the way DOWN." To be fair, though, celebs are entitled to have a sh*tty day, now and then, too. Yes, she COULD have been nicer to you, but the prevailing wisdom IS, she's a beep

Both of them. In the book "Performance" about Avedon's work,John Lahr describes the photoshoot. Avedon said "she has no interest in anyone else. She's interested in the effect she has on you. When she thinks she sees her reflection in your eyes, and I respond, she's satisfied and changes the subject." Later Stone storms off because she doesn't like the dress and refuses to come back for hours. Great book, by the way.

I agree with the user who said that "it's better to admire from afar". Because truly, I regret the experiences I've had, for the most part, when it comes to celebrities.

I've been around a lot of celebrities in my life and she was probably the worst. I work in the guest services industry and she chewed me out for not addressing her as "Dr." which was part of her alias. I mean come on lady, you and your fake Mensa membership wish!

wordwrights2: "I recently met Sharon Stone and I wish I could say it was a nice experience but it really wasn't. I just wanted to compliment her and she just gave me a chilly stare, shook her head and walked away. Now I understand celebs have their need for privacy but I met her after an event in a public area. Maybe it was a bad day or what not, we're all entitled to that. But would a smile or a kind word have been that difficult? Well, good luck to Miss Stone. I noticed that she signs for fans and poses for photos when there are cameras or film crews around. I guess this fan doesn't count for anything so it doesn't matter that I'm not a fan any longer."
I think it's a waste to be kind to celebrities. Kindness should be given to people who don't feel
entitled
to kindness from total strangers.Calling disagreement hate is childish.
