I miss Robin Williams

Exactly.
He was so out there funny in almost everything, but then you see him in something like One Hour Photo, Insomnia, or how about the doctor in Awakenings?
He has done a number of movies against type, but these are seldom mentioned. They are proof of the fine actor he really was.
You asked a pretty question; I've given you the ugly answer.

I haven't seen the gold routine, but I have read and heard Gary Marshal's account of Robin's audition. Sitting on one's head makes perfect from an alian's point of view.

I miss him, too. He gave so much heart in all his performances. And I know what you mean about feeling his loss in the world even though you didn't know him. When M.C. Beaton died, I felt a great loss in the same way, which I found odd at the time. Her real name was Marion Chesney Gibbons and she was a writer. She wrote under many pseudonyms. I was a fan of her cozy murder mysteries featuring Agatha Raisin and Hamish MacBeth, which she wrote as M.C. Beaton.
But back to Robin Williams. Yes, he was one of the greats. An unforgettable actor and I'm not sure if he was ever given enough credit for what he could do. -

Christina, you are a bit too fixated on death. You gonna be alright? -
