I met Linda Blair at MonsterMania con 2010 in NJ. She seemed to be in a good mood,i would too if i charged $40 to sign my name 😛
You have to remember when your a star everyone wants something from you and you deal with a lot of A-holessooooo.
Older movie fans tell me about conventions in the 70's and 80's where stars didnt even charge for autographs! While that is great i do believe they should charge something,JUST NOT $40!!!
Blame the dealers who ruined it by having people sign 20 pics then selling them all for profit.

I'm meeting her later today (10/28/11) at a screening of the exorcist in naperville IL
I'm nervous and excited to see her!
I just bought the directors cut at walmart for $15 on blueray. Not bad! Lol!
And yeah I heard they will be charging for autographs, but its ok with me.
        So wish me luck! 🙂
But I totally get that if ur nice and friendly and give celebs their space, that they will
        Be nice back to u.
I agree what one person said on here about Linda, she IS only human.
ALL celebs are only human. And at first I didn't want to look at boards like these
Cuz I didn't want to ruin my experience with ppls "bad" experiences.
But now I'm glad I did. It sort of pumped me up even more! Now I can't wait
        To meet her!
Ill tell u all about it later! 🙂

Just came back from the screening of the exorcist and meeting linda.
All I gotta say is she's the nicest most coolest person ever!!!
They were charging $20 for autographs and$20 for pix.
But its ok with me. The profits go to her fundation.
          But yeah I had a blast!!! 🙂
First me and my friends got in line to meet her, the movie was about to start
But we decided to skip the beginning and just stay in line.
Then it was my turn, I was nervous but ready! Lol
She.signed my blueray cover and said she loved my shirt. I was wearing a marilyn
          monroe shirt.
          It was so cool!!!
Then after the movie ended she did a Q&A.
          Best day ever!!! 🙂

CoolI just met her today at the same Exorcist screening, but mine was in Woodridge, IL. Got an autograph and took a picture and had a great time. I decided to talk with her about "Savage Streets" instead of the Exorcist. Poor woman's been talking about the same movie every day of her life since she was twelve. She was friendly and funny, I'm glad I went.

I met Linda Blair in 1998 while I was working at Tower Records in
              N. California. She was at the store to promote the dvd launch of
The Exorcist. And she was there with either her agent or manager.
Imho I came away not one bit impressed with the woman! First of all
I have never been a fan of the actress and she seemed like she
was not really into meeting her fans and signing autographs. She
was not mean nor hostile just not very friendly nor approachable.
She had brough along many posters of the movie which she had signed
and then it was our turn for the store's staff to get some signed.
Well her agent/manager told the crowd that Linda Blair had to get
on board a flight back to Los Angeles and she no longer could sign
any items. Well she offered to bring several posters with her on
her way back home. And promised to sign the whole bunch for the
employees and have the posters mailed back to the store. Well I
never got mine signed and delivered and neither did any of the
other staff members at Tower Records. To this day I just figured
that she was no longer a big star in the 90s and therefore did
not seem to care about her fans nor the staff at Tower. Oh well
I could not care any less about Linda Blair nor if I ever meet
              her again! LOL!

I wonder if her manager lost those posters. I would bet she meant to do it.

I posted about this in a different thread, but I'll repeat it here for you guys.
She was selling her cookbook at a cult video store in Portland. Some guy brought in an Exorcist poster for her to sign and she held up her book and announced loudly to him (and everyone else), "THIS is the only thing I care about right now!" I'm like, "Okay, sure, I get it but damn, lady, you're making an appearance in a CULT VIDEO STORE." It's not like he attacked her at a health food store and demanded that she talk about playing Regan or something.
Later on, a Filipino woman and her daughter were loitering around the table, kept gushing over "movie star Linda. Movie star Linda." Linda summoned one of the bored hipster girl employees over to the table and declared, "Take this woman and her daughter to the counter and print out a list of Linda's movies FOR CHILDREN."
The girl sort of scoffed: "Um, have you made any?"
I snickered, and Linda shot me a disapproving look. Then turned back to the girl "Uh, yeah, I made something in Romania. I think it was a superhero movie. I'm sure I did. I can't remember what it's called. But I'm sure you have it."
I offered, "And then there's always Savage Streets."
                      Linda glared at me again.

Do you like to mess with celebrities? That's funny.

I met her at Flashback Weekend here in Chicago. It's a local horror convention that comes around once a year.
Well, Exorcist is my all time favorite horror film. I always wanted to meet Linda Blair and now was my chance. I waited in line for over an hour with a friend. As we scooched to the front, there were people in front of us getting a picture with her. I was like ok, 20 bucks like usual to meet someone and get their autograph/picture. I was wrong..
It turns out that it was 30 for an autograph and 50 with a picture. I know she was in the Exorcist, but holy crap. It turns out that it was normal prices, but she was advertising her company to help animals and everyone who met her and wanted her autograph HAD to donate to her cause as well. Instead of putting a jar to the side saying, 'hey donate if you like', no everyone, if you liked animals or not, had to donate to her animal cause. It should have been a red flag there.
Two people ahead of us were talking to Linda and she was being super nice to them. These people spent a lot of money to meet her, like over $100 to get like this huge poster, a photo, ect. Well, Linda needed a pen and her assistant (either her personal assistant or probably one that was hired just for that show) was answering questions about the animal cause to the fans. Linda called her name ONCE and after the assistant didn't hear it, Linda started snapping her fingers and saying the girls name super loud. Linda looked super annoyed, but really bitchy at the same time. Even the people she was getting the photo with were looking at each other all weird.
When it came to get my signature, these people were still there making small talk with Linda. I know it's partly their fault that they didn't move on and I get she was being nice, but it took away from my experience. She didn't give me eye contact and was like "What's your name?". I told her and she started talking to the other people again. She then forgets and asks it again. I pay my 30 and took off.
Now, I get that she had a lot on her plate. But how she was with the fans and how everyone had to pay to donate to her cause, I felt a little taken advantage of.
