I never found her physically attractive, nor any other woman
, but I can tell an attractive woman via aesthetics. Dern was never a stunner, just radiant and unique.

Go and pop some more pills, snort some more lines, smoke some more crack and wash it down with 10 bottles of bourbon, then we won’t have to put up with your cretinous being anymore.

She just looks old for her age. In Jurassic Park I think she was only 25 but she looks at least 35.
I personally never had a problem with her looks. She just isn't a very good actress, found her annoying in every movie I've seen her in. -

I don't really like
A Perfect World
. I struggle through it. A bit preachy.
Bruce was at the top of his game as a character actor and I really like her mother too, Diane Ladd.
Smooth Talk
is a strange film with Treat Williams and a bit random in construct, but Dern really knocks it out of the park, as a somewhat promiscuous teen who gets something she didn't really bargain for.

Costner is a very dry. I see his
Dances With Wolves
as a masterpiece of American cinema, but for most films, he can be hit or miss with me.
Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves
is cool.

I cant get into Bull Durham. I’ve tried, but it just slips right by me. I wanted to see it for Sarandon the most, but I wasn’t liking any of the characters.
The Untouchables lacks excitement and Ness and his cohorts were protected criminals. The laws created that scenario. It’s not fascinating like De Palma’s earlier Scarface.

I've only seen BD once a while ago, can't remember much. I tend to change my opinion of films when I watch them again, so maybe upon reviewing I might not like it as much.
As for Untouchables, I've always been a fan of De Palma. I like this visual style, the way he makes things interesting with his camera work, perfect example being the Union Station shoot out climax, which I think is great stuff. I think if someone else made Untouchables, I probably wouldn't like it as much.
Scarface is entertaining, I liked it as a teen, but its tone is too unpleasant for my tastes now.
