Chris Farley was a comedic genius. JOHN (what an idiot, you called him Jim) Belushi was an overrated clown.

It's hard to take a guy seriously when he can't tell the difference between Jim and John Belushi but whatever dude. Not everyone id going to find every actor talented. I agree that Farley's humor is not for everyone and in many cases it is not for me either but what does it for me is that he pulls it off. I don't know why but it seems like whenever Chris did something I find it much more funny that when someone else tries to do the same type of thing. I think he had a great sense of timing. A lot of his lines are delivered with just a slight hesitation that makes them so much more funny.
As for you not thinking he was funny I find it odd that you think so highly of John Belushi. I think john and Chris were very much alike but that's just my opinion.

Taste in comedy is a fickle thing. Chris Farley had a kind-hearted yet hilarious delivery of other people's writing. He was a total Belushi fan, and only had one goal in life: to be on SNL. He grew up entertaining real people at camp, college, and abroad, but he was not a one-trick pony. He simply got typecast in the writing on SNL and in movies. He showed great heart in Tommy Boy, and if he were alive today, I'm sure he would be in something more dramatically challenging. But it totally is a taste issue. I certainly do not believe he's as stupid as you make him out to be.

The OP obviously got John Belushi and his brother James mixed up.

I agree Farley was a fat slob and should've taken better care of himself but at times he was very funny!
He was great as the motivational speaker in SNL and in Almost Heroes. He was also good in Tommy Boy but not so good in Beverly Hills Ninja.

Obviously a HUGE Jim Belushi fan started this topic. Jim, the "physical comedian" who apparently passed away without telling anyone. Such devotion and admiration to a comedic genius that would cause hateful comparison to a wonderful, well-loved comedy icon who never hurt anyone and was always lovableso much as to not only visit the IMDB page of the one you seem to hate so much, but to also go to the message board of same just to spew venom. That's a very sad, pathetic thing to doespecially when in your vile post you kill the brother of another beloved comedy icon, John Belushi (who I assume you meant in your fanatic praise, but apparently don't even like him enough to get his name right).
I'm whiskifiedor else I wouldn't have even bothered to respond to this lame excuse at a pathetic attack on a beloved human being who gave so many of us so much laughter.
I loved Chris Farley (as a fannothing wrong with that) as I loved John Belushi. I was deeply saddened by both of their passings due to the excesses they succumbed toa lesson that I so hope young people and others in the entertainment industry take to heart. God bless them both (and Jim tooan adequate entertainer, unfortunately living in the shadow of his brother).
Please do not attack me for my opinionswe're all entitled to them.

I must agree, while the "trailer by the river" thing was pretty funny, virtually everything else was just crap only a 2 year old would find funny. but I don't agree that john belushi was that funny. I don't see much of a difference between the 2.
Realism, Remakes and Unnecessary Sequels are ruining movies!

Why do I get the feeling that John Belushi would've gone up to Chris Farley and asked him "what the hell is wrong with you?"
I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.
