I Hate Him So Much

On May 6, 2008 my biography of Chris will be released - The Chris Farley Show. If, by chance, you ever read it you will find such actors as Alec Baldwin, Chris Rock, Brian Denehey and many others talking about how Chris was a genius at analysing situations, actors, emotions - and delivering the right element and the right time. His timing was perfect (they all say). Beyond that, Rock, Spade, Sandler - they all claim Chris was by far the funniest of them all. And this is a fairly competitive group! So I'll just let everyone else defend Chris; and ask you again to read the book - if you survive the beating you're getting on this post! Ouch!

God bless you, Tom, for writing this book about your late, great brother, Chris. He was without a doubt one of the funniest performers I've ever seen. The movies he was involved with may not have always been worthy of his incredible talent, but I'll always treasure my memories of seeing him on stage, and later on SNL. He brought laughter and joy to so many people, as your new book points out so beautifully.
It's quite obvious that anyone who ever actually knew or worked with Chris loved him very much and admired his talent, so I'll just choose to ignore the opinions of idiots who don't know what the hell they're talking about, especially the guy who started this thread without even knowing the difference between John and Jim Belushi. He can just crawl back in his sad little troll hole, which is undoubtedly decorated with printed up copies of his own asinine internet posts. -

It's hard to take a guy seriously when he can't tell the difference between Jim and John Belushi but whatever dude. Not everyone id going to find every actor talented. I agree that Farley's humor is not for everyone and in many cases it is not for me either but what does it for me is that he pulls it off. I don't know why but it seems like whenever Chris did something I find it much more funny that when someone else tries to do the same type of thing. I think he had a great sense of timing. A lot of his lines are delivered with just a slight hesitation that makes them so much more funny.
As for you not thinking he was funny I find it odd that you think so highly of John Belushi. I think john and Chris were very much alike but that's just my opinion. -

Taste in comedy is a fickle thing. Chris Farley had a kind-hearted yet hilarious delivery of other people's writing. He was a total Belushi fan, and only had one goal in life: to be on SNL. He grew up entertaining real people at camp, college, and abroad, but he was not a one-trick pony. He simply got typecast in the writing on SNL and in movies. He showed great heart in Tommy Boy, and if he were alive today, I'm sure he would be in something more dramatically challenging. But it totally is a taste issue. I certainly do not believe he's as stupid as you make him out to be.

I agree Farley was a fat slob and should've taken better care of himself but at times he was very funny!
He was great as the motivational speaker in SNL and in Almost Heroes. He was also good in Tommy Boy but not so good in Beverly Hills Ninja.
