Completely agreed. If she came back to star in any movie I would be compelled to watch it no matter what it is. It's Bridget Fonda lol. "Single White Female" is still one of my favorite movies.
The Phoebe Cates comparison is hilarious lol. Interestingly enough, they both starred in the 1989 movie "Shag" together. I think Fonda still has way more potential left rather than Cates.

Prediction:
Sometime in the near future she will appear in a quality TV series that will rejuvenate her career and show the world how good she can be. TV now has the best roles for actresses of her age, though still not enough. -

Phoebe Cates retired to raise her children.
she was pregnant during "Princess Carboo". she decided then and there to retire.
she owns and runs her own store in NYC. I don't know who has more or less come-back potential, but I doubt Phoebe wants to act now.
and I doubt Bridget does either.
Phoebe and Bridget are 49 now and I5b4 see Phoebe is very pretty and youthful looking still. she looks 37 to 39 to me, a good decade younger at least.
but still after such a long absence It would be hard for either to get suitable roles for them UNLESS they just want to act for something to do. and would just take any ol part! I don't see either of them caring enough to want to act.
I could be wrong about Bridget. but Phoebe has said she has no intentions of acting again. But again Meg Tilly said the same thing! and she is back in the game on the small screen. who knows! one must do what's best for them. -
