She is a very fine actress, especially in Jackie Brown.

Senegato:
In educating America about who we are and how we feel and how things they say and do affects us is like trying to plug up the dam and not having enough fingers to do so. No matter what, the holes keep forming. We have to come to the conclusion that we love us and everybody else will either do so or stay stuck in their ignorance and/or hatred of us because of their close-mindedness. -

I, seriously, do not know where you and Senegato are at. I make a seemingly innocuous compliment about Pam Grier, and you guys take my post off on so many tangents that it would confuse a math teacher. Just chill.

Pam Grier has done herself proud, Mark. She's done her family and friends proud. She's done America proud. Before there were Charlie's Angels, there was Pam Grier. Before there was Wonder Woman, there was Pam Grier. Before there was the Bionic Woman, there was Pam Grier. This isn't a race issue. Ms. Grier is an incredibly talented and courageous woman who happens to be Black. I don't understand why her IMDB page has to describe her as an "African American actress," but doesn't refer to Demi Moore, Jennifer Aniston, Elizabeth Taylor, or any other Caucasian actress as a "White actress" or a "Caucasian actress." When will we get pass the racial labels and just recognize each of us as people? We are all people and, yes, even though we are different ethnically and culturally, we are5b4 still all people. I'm not preaching, but it's incredibly sad that in this the 21st century, an African-Americann woman is still referred to as a "negress" (you sound like a slave owner). It's really, really a shame. We are all the same in God's eyes.

I don't agree with you. Actresses such as Li Gong, Michelle Yeoh And Ziyi Zhang are always linked to their Chinese ancestry; same as Catherine Deneuve being French, or Sophia Loren being Italian. What's wrong in mentioning their ethnicity or country of birth? Simply saying we are all human and there shouldn't be any differentiation as to color, race or creed, is taking this insidious PC Ideal too far.

When you put it in the same context as Chinese, French, Italian actresses being linked to their heritage then it does make sense to list African-American actresses as Black or African-American. However, I wasn't trying to be politically correct when I made reference to the fact that we're all the same in God's eyes because actually we are. I am a Christian and really would love for people to view each other that way. While I am a realist and know that it will not happen in this lifetime and in this world someday, I know I'll see that in eternity. Honestly, what you believe is entirely up to you, and I don't knock that even if I don't agree with it. But this is how I see it even if you don't agree.

What the beep is that supposed to mean? She's a credit to no one but herself, get outta here.
Thank you, Mint!
What an awful, rude biggoted thing to say.
Pam is a fantastic and beautiful actress, period!
BTW-Because JFK did some great things while he was in office, does that mean he was a CREDIT to the Irish "RACE"!??
Race also, is a word and concept which has developed as a result of European Imperialism.
See what a difficult situation you've creat5b4ed. Proud of yourself now are you?
