Saying there's "worse" in the world doesn't excuse Penn.
Don't try to pin things to my statement that weren't there. I never insinuated he should get a pass because he only interviewed the 154th worst human on earth or what have you.
Perhaps the OP was directly affected by the Mexican drug wars, or maybe just has a distaste for his political views (I never said I was a fan). I guess it's a pet peeve of mine when someone says (x) is definitvely the (y) thing in the world when it just isn't true. -

Well if Sean Penn is Evil then.. what about every war mongering nuclear arming degenerate president the US ever had? Not to mention the members of congress.
But in the name of Freedom we will sweep all the bad beep the american government has allowed to happen, at the hands of their armed forces, foreign and abroad.
Dropping bombs, spreading diseases, mass murders, sending armed forces into countries without reasoning or provocation, starting secret wars, funding the enemies of the world, where does it end?
But Sean Penn is evil because he interviewed a bad man. -

You interview the most despicable individual on this planet, who was, at the time, a wanted felon, including dozens of murders, who justifiably should be shot and killed on first contact with law enforcement.
Interviewing someone doesn't mean you endorse their behavior or their criminal activities. Are you that dumb that you really believe that? You're truly an idiot.

Penn is sympathetic to his cause. That says enough.
Penn acknowledges El Chapo's murder victims and drug addicts at the beginning of his piece. He has no illusion that the man is dangerous.

Also "Communist" really?
We're living in a country where calling someone a Communist is still used as a pejorative. Like most on the right,I believe OP is still living in the cold war.

A Caviar Socialist. A rich guy who lives in a Democracy, enjoys freedom of speech and the advantages of a Capitalist society and yet makes passes at leftist dictators like Cuba's Castro, Chavez and every other left wing despot because he thinks he'll look smart and rebellious supporting communist dictators. Hollywood is flooded to the brim with **** like this guy: Oliver Stone, Michael Moore, Vanessa RED-Grave and every other rich caviar eating hypocrite you can think of who owns a house in Beverly Hills and sing the International.

Funny, but with all his resume, awards, and accolades, I can't remember seeing anything current; even
"MILK!"
The only movies of his I have in my collection is from the beginning;
"FT@RH"
and
"Bad Boys"
believe it or not! My lone fave is
"Falcon & The Snowman"
so he shouldn't be surprised he's in pictures trolling around Mexico then meeting El C!http://www.childrenofrassilon.com/fiero425.html

the problem with what sean penn did is he doesn't understand the true nature of person like el chapo because he lets his emotions cloud his judgement like all liberals . This guy wouldn't think twice about selling out sean penn to save his own ass thats how scumbags like el chapo think .Now he's in big trouble with our government for helping a known criminal knowing where the guy was and not saying nothing about it ..Bad move sean .
