Ha Ha definitely see it.I watched it on blu-ray today and with in the first few minutes of Perkins introduction realize the similarities. It's the total combination of his happy go lucky looks and awkward body movements topped off with his nervous line delivery.

Absolutely! That's all I could think about when I saw him in Psycho. His nervous mannerisms, awkward demeanor and dictation was definitely a basis for Garfield's portrayk of Peter Parker.

Yes I do see a slight resemblance to Tony in Andrew Garfield, but Tony Perkins was one of a kind; incredibly gorgeous, talented and charismatic and no one could ever match him.
I'm glad he didn't play him in Hitchcock. James D'Arcy on the other hand was absolutely uncanny.

Yes, Andy looks quite like Tony especially in side-by-side comparisons. I like them both so I am not going to say who is better.

According to IMDb trivia, Andrew Garfield was offered the part of Anthony Perkins in the biopic HITCHCOCK. But I thought James D'Arcy was perfect in the role. I never thought Garfield looked like Perkins.

I came here to say exactly that. I watched Psycho last night and as soon as I saw him, it hit me. He is looking and talking exactly like Andrew Garfield.

Okay, that's two words. I'm watching On the Beach now and he reminds me of Shane (Primer) - Donna Anderson looks surprisingly like Mary Elizabeth Winstead as well.

Yes. They don't lookalike that much, but they have a similar aura if that makes sense.
Physically, Perkins looked more like Freddie Prinze Jr.

I have a crush on AP and I tried to convince myself to have a crush on AG because they had some similar features but I just couldn't. AP was tall and hot, his acting was so diverse. His eyes can go from menacing to soulful. It's not the same.
