Hey Sandra 4677 - you were pretty quick to shoot down the incorrect post about him upthread. You can't attack what I posted so you're strategy is to attack me?
I could understand attacking discussing a celebrity's private life if we were discussing something scandalous or negative to his reputation. Discussing marriage and children is nothing to be ashamed about. I'm sure the majority would consider this normal and positive. -

I wasn't attacking anyone! Just because I posted right after you does not mean I was posting directly TO you. I thought that was what a thread was a discussion & sharing of ideas & opinions. I'm sorry zedsgrl, but I was not attacking you, ok? I heard that he had a fling with the flying spaghetti monster. Speculate that! HA HA HA! Yes, I am trying to make you laugh. Eric supporters gotta stick together, ya know?

Interesting. I'm in the majority, and I think it's a shame that anyone who claims to be a 'long time fan and follower' would post this kind of rumor, when it's clear that the man himself keeps his life private.
But that's the world we live in- people 'out' gay celebrities, Fox news sets the tone, and there's no respect for what people want anymore. Everything is everyone's business!
If Eric Stoltz were to talk about his private life, then I'd be the first one to chime in. But I don't feel comfortable broadcasting and/or commenting on 'news' that HE obviously doesn't want to talk about, because I truly am a long time fan and follower. That's just me.
Meantime, he's a great director of Glee and the star of one of my favorite films, KICKING AND SCREAMING, and I'll continue to talk about his work with awe and respect. -

My thoughts EXACTLY Michelle! That was my point all along! I shoot down rumors and get jumped on. Eric doesn't talk about it & it is none of our business.
Kicking & Screaming was great! I haven't watched that in a while. Did you see his performance in Leverage this season. Just beautiful.

Michelle1969 - If you read my comment upthread I fail to understand why anyone would consider marriage and children something not to be talked about. There is nothing to be ashamed about either of those things and IMO its not a rumor. Personally when I am a fan I do like to know about their personal life and from what I gather I'm not in the minority.
Mind you I agree that I do get sick and tired of the coverage received by the likes of Brad and Angelina. Now that is too much.
I do resent the implication that I can't be "real fan".
So this proves exactly what I posted, someone always comes out and "vehemently attacks" whenever this topic comes up.I can't help but think its Eric having his fun with this.I'm sure he gets a good laugh out of this. -

" I fail to understand why anyone would consider marriage and children something not to be talked about. "
Oh. So, since Eric Stolz is not talking about his life, you've decided that you have a right to do so?
Whether you think it's cool to talk about or not, here's the reality; you're talking about someone else. Just like TMZ, Fox news, and all those classy gossip websites.
Let's say, Zed's girl, that you went through a divorce. Maybe you don't want to talk about it, maybe you feel it's nobodies business- and yet a 'big fan' of yours claims the right to talk about it in the press! How would that make you feel?
"from what I gather I'm not in the minority. "
This presumes two things; that the majority is always correct (see Germany circa 1938) and that you're in the majority regarding this topic; however it seems that more than a few of us want to respect Eric Stolz wishes and keep his private life private.
"I do resent the implication that I can't be "real fan". '
It's not an implication at all. If someone says "I don't talk about my personal life", as he has in more than a few interviews, and you blatantly disregard that- then how much of a fan are you?
"someone always comes out and "vehemently attacks" whenever this topic comes up"
I'm not being vehement. Just stating facts.
"I can't help but think its Eric having his fun with this.I'm sure he gets a good laugh out of this."
At last we agree on something! -

Eric stoltz is clearly not gay. Come on!
Come on! And you're clearly not deluded either. Wake up and smell the coffee and look at his soft, gentle feminine face. There's your answer. Interesting, that many women, still don't want to accept male 'homosexuality' as a 'genuine' entity\sexuality. It is disempowering for them.

"A man his age and status in show business and he still can't mention his girfriend or childrenI'm guessing gay. I actually never thought he was gay but at this point, it seems fairly obvious."
Yeah, they used to be called 'confirmed bachelors', and no, no matter how much that gets you excited, it doesn't mean all older single men are gay. No, really.
