Sure, Kathleen Turner has aged. So have many people before and after her. Sure, she wrote a tell-all novel in which she had some not-so-nice remarks about Nicolas Cage, but she reserves the most criticism for herself. Sure, she is not the most easy person, but then again who is??
Here are some good films she was really good in:
Body Heat
Romancing the Stone
Prizzi's Honor
Peggy Sue Got Married
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (voice only)
War of the Roses
Serial Mom
The Virgin Suicides
Even if you hate a couple of these titles, then surely there are still a coup5b4le that you love. And that's more than you can say about most actresses working today. Give her a break! She's had a tough time, like we all have had some tough times. And she hasn't handled it all well, like we all have had some difficulties handling it well.
I think she's a great actress, and hope that we'll see more of her! -

I agree !! I love all of her work and have always rated her very highly as an actress. In person, she is also very nice, and when I met her she was extremely down to earth and polite - not what I was expecting at all. Turner has had some brilliant roles and she is fantastic on the stage, so yeah, we should just respect her for that.
Why all the hate indeed.. -

Not only is Turner one of the best actresses out there (which is why I can never understand the likes of Streep) but also a very nice person. I also happen to think she looks pretty damned good for someone who has had so many health issues for the past ten plus years. I personally do not judge people on whether they are heavy or thin. I judge based on character. And from reading some of the comments on here, most "die hard" movie fans have ZERO in the way of character. I'd like to see what most of these people look like and learn about their accomplishments.

Kathleen is a brave woman. She narrated a recent documentary about Rosalind Russell, the Golden Era star who suffered from arthritis and was a leader in finding better treatment for it.
Incidentally, toward the end of her life, during th emid-1970's,Rosalind Russell appeared at a public function along with Joan Crawford. The photos appearing in the papers the following day showed that Russell's face was puffy from steroid medications. Joan didn't like her appearance and never again appeared in public. But, both stars really did look fine, every hair in place, pulling off a special event.

Folks hate if a star is skinny and they hate if that star gains ANY weight. People just like to throw stones. It makes them feel better to feel worse and drag others into it.
I adore Kathleen. I've always been a huge fan of hers and she'll always be wonderful.

This is true. Go on Lindsay Lohan - too thin, go on Kristen Langanese - too fat. Scarlett Johansen - ugly, Julia Roberts - a freak. It's ridiculous. You are either mean and bash people no matter what or you don't. That's how it seems. I am sure there are some who fall in between but not many. -

I feel bad when someone has gained a lot of weight. Seems like they've lost control of their body.
I know there are out-liers that can't control things, but these days everyone seems to have an excuse, I'm bi-polar, I'm addicted, etc. But I love KT and I wish her the best and would definitely NOT think poorly of her under any circumstances. Love KT.
I'm not a woman much less Deanna Durbin, but the old-time glam-shot appeals to me. -

I suppose she could go into hidding but I admire her bravery instead to stand up and talk about it and continue to go forward to educate everyone on her condition and try not to let all the negative comments get her spirits down. I am sure it is sooo very hard because people can be so brutal.
