Even his own daughter! Not nearly as many men get messed up in his films, except Stendhal Syndrome with the awesome revenge scene. I mean i can clearly see why some accuse him of misogyny but I don't tend to agree since he also shows strong female leads. Do any of his films have a little less gore but still as much style and flare?

I would argue that Argento's victims are predominantly women because his films are fueled by fetishism and he happens to be heterosexual it's no accident the gloved hands that commit the murders are always his. If Argento were gay, you'd see a queue of men ascend the gallows in his films as you do in books by Mishima, Genet and Dennis Cooper.
Argento has also confirmed this in interviews. Daria Nicolodi, Asia's mother, first met Dario auditioning to play Gianna Brezzi in Profundo Rosso a role she snagged ably before she and Dario became lovers for the next eleven years. -

Many of the Argento films hinge around twisted familial relationships between the mother, father and children which sits at the root of the killers psychological disturbances. Its often a examination of the dark psyche not just inexplicable murders of women happening for purely gratuitous reasons. Theres a certain method

Indeed the females are also pretty handy with a pair of black gloves in Bird with Crystal Plummage, Jennifer, Stendhal you will see some guys getting their asses kicked by women if thats what turns you on.
Asia has never been killed, its Daria who gets whacked in Opera, Inferno & Phenomena -

A couple other of my favorites are in Card Player when the kid survives by the skin of his teeth and then a boat comes to 'rescue' him, lol. Also in Deep Red just as the 'killer' is getting away from the school he accidently gets his foot hooked onto a rope attached to a moving vehiclehehe talk about bad luck
Another favorite is the woman who starts the fire in Inferno, she goes up in flames crashes through a window then lands inside a skylight and later on Dario cuts back to a shot of her burning at full force -

I think there were some opportunities to have Asia die but Dario chose not to for instance Stendhal, Trauma but you're right in that his films aren't really tragedies they seem to end with uplifting scenes. Ultimately he believes in the good of human nature

The unrated cut of MOTHER OF TEARS is certainly Argento's goriest film (and also probably his worst). But TENEBRE has a whopping
eleven
on-camera murders!

Just finished Phenomena, best lead I found, she was pretty intelligent, plus Jeniffer Connely was and still is a very attractive actress. Also violence was pretty tame compared to the other films I've watched of his. How can anyone bad mouth the ending? Monkey revenge is freaking epic!!! I found it to have a good mix of B movie comedy and acting while still being a grade A product, fairy tale qualities and some very creepy moments.
Seems most of his less gorey work is also his worst, Card Player sucked, although so did Stendhal.
Up next is Deep Red which I hear is his best but most violent, but eh I'm sure there's been worse, but I really enjoy the soundtracks in his movies even the bad ones. -

Not to defend Argentowho is no doubt a pretty weird guybut frankly the commercial logistics of the horror market require sexy young women to be the primary victims. Depressing, but it's true. I don't know if Argento is misogynist or just following commercial precedent. It's true that some of his most brutal killing scenes (esp. "Opera") have been of men. But they're still in the minority.
