Actually, Scott belongs to my church. It's called Agape and it's in Los Angeles. If y5b4ou've seen the movie The Secret, then you know what the New Age/Ancient Wisdoms tenets of it are. If you want to check it out, go to AgapeLive.com

I have never heard Mr. Bakula give an opinion on religion, but Sam Beckett stated several times that he thought a diety was "Leaping" him around in time and space, putting right, etc. So clearly he believed in a God. And as someone mentioned, Capt. Archer stated that he had "an open mind".
I hope that helps.

It is like ala cart items on a menu. Your relationship with your maker is your own business and weather you are an agnostic or an atheist is your own business.
I hate all these religious posts about where people put their limited knowledge up for display or a pedestal because they read the bible and they are enlightened.
We have enough religious hypocrites in the world as it is!! -

To the dude who asked for more proof: do a search on You Tube. There are a few videos of Scott himself talking about The Secret and his beliefs. Interesting that people don't take the word of a first hand witness.
Also, some seemed to be confused with Scott the actor and the character he is portraying or has portrayed. Different guys. This is called acting.
: )

PS: Sorry to Celluliod or Celulitis who asked for more proof. I tried to respond directly to that post, but IMDB disappeared the post when I logged in. -

Scott starts at about 1:30
My friend took me to this "Agape Spiritual Center" in Culver City once where this Michael Bernard Beckwith guy they're all about was talking. I don't know if it has anything to do with The Secret. I know the precise theology or beliefs or what5b4ever. I only went once. There was a lot of music, then Beckwith came on and said some nice nondenominational stuff about positiveness and God being inside everyone and the universe and stuff. Seemed very New Age, happy, not really dogmatic. If I asked my friend she'd probably be the "I'm spiritual but I'm not religious?" type. The whole Agape/Michael Bernard Beckwith thing is definitely not atheistic, though I'm still not sure I understand their conception of God. Nor do I know what Scott Bakula believes, but he is in that video, speaking highly of Beckwith and his ministry. -

Kevin, thank you for this. I am totally a The Secret kind of person - Universal Energy, Civilized Behavior. I know Scott is not into the "Guy with a white beard on a cloud" kind of thing. I wonder if people are confusing Sam Beckett with Scott Bakula? They are not one in the same. Scott's such a tremendously good-hearted person in general that the things that may go on in his mind about spirituality must be good things.
