He may have been 'bi' (or pretended to be-remember Elton John's marriage??) when he was younger but after 30-years-old I doubt there were any more woman.
He seems to have followed a path many gay men do when they are coming to terms w/their sexuality. Attractive willing woman are VERY available (probably more available than confused young gay men in those days) and the guy probably was just horny-the same way a straight man will let a gay man 'pleasure' him in certain circumstances-it's pretty common. If Rock was really 'bi', there would have been a string of women later in his life but they're apparently are'nt any or any claims by any. For younger gay men, bisexuality is commonly just a stop on the road to being gay. -

He had no "crush" on her. They were friends, tho not close (MM was not really into the Hollywood social scene) He was very attentive to her the night of the 1962 GG's because she was quite drunk, and he was literally holding her up. I think they both would liked to had made a film together. In fact, MM very much wanted "Pillow Talk." And she considered him for "Bus Stop" but because that film was her "comeback" after a year away from Hollywood, she thought heapproaching the peak of his careermight overshadow her.
He certainly liked her well enough to narrate the 1963 tribute film, "Marilyn."
Rock's real MM crush was Marilyn Maxwell, who truly adored him, understood his issues, etc. Everybody expected them to marry and have a very successful marriage of convenience. It didn't happen and Maxwell was devastated.
