too true Nickjo. It seemed like he just couldn't break into the "mainstream". He'd show up in big movies every so often( Bladerunner, The Fifth Element ) but never seemed to hit the big time.

Always enjoyed his acting. I see him along the lines of another great actor who passes around the same time,

Brion James was what I would call a "hard-working actor." Once he finishes one thing, he goes for another just as quick. His 24 years in acting, over 100 television shows he guest starred and starred in 120-plus films, and you can tell and see he has never played the same character twice. He was the most consistent actor, but I think his constant workload caused the heart attack that killed him. In my mind, there's no one that can show that dedication and passion as he did.
Rest In Peace Brion -

I agree. Brion James was a terrific actor. I thought he was great as the Cajun fur trapper in "Southern Comfort." He was likewise superb in "Blade Runner," "48 Hours," "Enemy Mine," "Flesh + Blood," "Crimewave," "Red Heat," and "The Horror Show." His early death from a sudden heart attack was a terrible shock and a great loss to all us Brion James fans.
