Meryl was herself in Stuck on you. Greg sung Summertime with her on stage.

Was debating with a friend on my film studies course over who the most under-rated actor at the moment was, and he didn't even know who big Greg was until I mentioned Little Miss Sunshine. That says it all for me!

When i saw him on Little Miss Sunshine, I thought "oh that guy" And than i made it a point to watch more of his movies. Than i realized every movie i watched with him in it He was great in each role.
Don't remember the name but the movie about the windshield wiper inventor, that he starred in was such a great film. He moved me to tears!
He really is overrated, but i'm glad to see he's got a lot of fans who feel the same way. -

excellent actor, a sheer joy to watch. He has both the levity and gravity at the same time in his acting, (unlike the brooding of a Daniel Day Lewis who passes off as a supposed genius) something very rare. In what I 've watched him in so far, "as good as it gets", "sunshine" and "nurse betty" he brought this special something to the roles that very, very few modern actors can bring. But this is Hollywood, the home of downright inept actors or golden mediocrities, wink, wink Matt Damon.

He is a natural. Refreshing to watch. Unfortunately Hollywood pushes the movies of other mainstream actors down our throats and Gregs films don't seem to get much of the publicity before they hit theaters. Yes he does talk shows, but the trailers never seem to get played enough and then you read the movie that's playing in theaters with talent like Greg and look at your girlfriend and go, "What's that, never heard of it." so you see the movie that's been splashed all over your TV for the last two months.

I just watched The matador again after several years. Greg Kinnear is such a good actor. As mentioned in this thread, very natural and unpretending. I loved him in Ghost Town and he was the absolute best of "As good as it gets". Yes, sometimes Hollywood is simply blind to talent. How Mr. Kinnear is not as famous as other much lesser actors, I don't know. But it's not unusual. Mr. Kinnear reminds me a little of my absolute favorite American actor, the long time deceased Richard Basehart, also a great underrated actor.
