I keep seeing some comments on here of users calling her ugly. Do some people automatically equate fat with ugly? I don'

Ok, I just saw her in concert tonight and I had a good seat so I really saw her. Whoever says she is ugly is blind. I think she is a beautiful woman and she not only is beautiful to look at, she has a voice to die for.she seems comfortable in her own skin. She had fun, took the whole audience with her for a great night of fabulous entertainment and left us all wanting more. Ugly? No way..beautiful in her own, unique way.no cookie cutter model to be sure but beautiful,non the less.

I think she has a nice face and even though she's overweight she carries it pretty well. I think you're t7ecotally right that if she had a normal Hollywood figure people would think she was really hot.

No.she is not ugly.
I have worked in retail and I used her name as an example to other women. For one she has a pretty face and for two she truly knows how to dress well for her body type. You can't help but notice the size of someone's body, but Latifah knows how to use what she has got. And the only people who notice the weight as the first thing about her are the ones who were hateful to begin with. -

You are absolutely correct, Storm. Most ignorant people equate physical beauty with inner beauty. Although, I agree with you that QL is an attractive woman, I also value and respect others opinions of her beauty. Not all people think the same. Just as many people think Paris Hilton is beautiful, I think not. Everyone has thier different opinions of everything, which is what the world is about. Diversity! QL has a unique spirit and honest soul. She seems like she keeps it real 100%, and that is very attractive if you ask me. Even if I didn't know what she looked like, I would still say the same thing.

I agree with you, and although i respect that people have diffarent oppinions i think people are just mean if they say she is ugly, she is certanly not a ugly womanas for her weight why do you have be skin and bone to be conciderd "attractive"..she has a fuller figure which suites her and she looks beautiful just the way she is

Only women of her own race would say she was attractive. Others would refrain from their real opinions of her appearance for fear of retaliation and excoriation.

Overall, even though she's fat, I don't think she's ugly. I consider ugliness something that you can't get rid of without surgery. If she lost some weight (which isn't as hard as people make it out to be), she would look amazing.
I think she's pretty, but not sexy.

By whose standard is she ugly or overweight? Hollywood and those brainwashed to think only one group is attractive or sexy. There are celebs that are called beautiful who don't look as attractive as women I see around me on a daily basis. I am "plus" sized, but healthy. Never had diabetic, heart, cholesterol, etc problems and I just matured to wonderful 40. My husband and I are amused when men are caught off guard finding me attractive. I exercise when possible, but a muscle condition limits the frequency. People never know why a person is large, but remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Stop being hateful. 6 years ago when my family moved and would go to visit our old time people always referred to my size upon seeing me, now they have gained weight and they do not carry it well at all. Now they talk about how good I look. Their size is what made them look good. I make me look good no matter my size as I mature I embrace who I am, love myself, and carry with confidence. This translates in my dress, walk, and gorgeous smile. I don't allow smile minded individuals to reduce my value.

shes veryyyyy pretty but is she overweight thats a fact. no one is supposed to have so much fat on them but that doesnt mean shes not healthy, i think shes stunning
you sound very defensive about this. i am naturally big too but your being way too sensitive about this, anyone who gets so defensive about an obviously over-weihgt person does that cause they no its true. you sound very insecure as well as rather vain tbh

The idea of QL sanding naked before gives me shivers. And she can't really lose weight, cause her head looks like it weighs about 30 pounds. If she were skinny, her head would still be huge.
