    i love jerry orbach!
he's by far the coolest guy ever, and so versatile
did you guys know he was in the original cast of chicago? he played the same part as richard gere does in the movie
then he went to play in Dirty Dancing as a doctor
then he went on to be Lumier in Beauty and the Beast, a singing French candelabra
then he ended up being Briscoe in L&O
    what a life eh?

He was really something else in 42nd Street, but did you know he was also Sky in a revival of Guys and Dolls?

I saw him twice in Chicago on Broadway. He was wonderful. I had hopes that he would play the part in the 2002 movie instead of Gere.

He won a Tony in 1967 for Promises, Promises. Also, he did play Sky Masterson in the revival of Guys and Dolls.

I think Alan King may have played Nathan in that reviv. of G + D, believe it was in 1965 at City Center.

He also was in the original Fantasticks as El Gallo. He was very dedicated to that show and always came to the anniversary parties.

At the time of his death he had logged more time on the Broadway stage than any other person.
