            He played "El Gallo" in the original cast of "The Fantastics" back in '61.

              I saw him twice in Chicago on Broadway. He was wonderful. I had hopes that he would play the part in the 2002 movie instead of Gere.

                He won a Tony in 1967 for Promises, Promises. Also, he did play Sky Masterson in the revival of Guys and Dolls.

                  I think Alan King may have played Nathan in that reviv. of G + D, believe it was in 1965 at City Center.

                    He also was in the original Fantasticks as El Gallo. He was very dedicated to that show and always came to the anniversary parties.
