He was even funnier in "1941". "Hey watch that knife boy". Hysterical and classic Slim. http://www.imdb.com/board/10078723/

I forgot, too, but now that this was brought to my attention, I won't forget! He was very good as Harvey Korman's right hand man! How could I forget?
I did a brief research prior to sending a memorial tribute to him on www.findagrave.com. -

My favorite dialogue from him and Harvey was this:
Taggart (Slim) starts jumping up and down; raising his hand to tell Hedley (Harvey) about an idea.
Hedley: First door to the l111ceft
Taggart: I got an idea!
Hedley: Yes Taggart?
Taggart: We'll kill every first born in town.
Hedley: Too Jewish. -

Thank you for posting. I was watching that Ziegfeld Girl and I forgot that Hedy Lamarr was in this too along with my favorite actor Randolph Scott. Personally I thought this was Marlena Dietrich's best film. Billy Wilder did a great job directing and people forget that Eddie Murphy wrote much of the dialogue and that is why he was able to make fun of the Irish without coming across as one of those Kansas City fags.
