She was tossed aside by Hollywood, same as so many other women have been over the years once they grow past the cute, hot and young days and are replaced by other cute, young and hot chicks. And the cycle will continue with them..unless of course, they agree to sink to the level of doing lesbian scenes/roles(Jennifer Beals, Rosanna Arquette, etc) and then they'll survive just a little bit longer.

Acting talent might also help to keep you in work as a woman in Hollywood these daysRosanna Arquette, Jennifer Beals??? Talentless. I doubt Kate Winslet will ever have to go begging once she 'gets past the cute stage', as someone put it here. Why? Because she has talent and class.

I know what you're saying.bums on seats because of jessica albatross and jessica simpleton in tight topsbut there is also another 'Hollywood' where big name, big budget directors, who want a 'product' that lasts (and that they can live with), go for high standards of acting. Would Scorsese use any of the above? Would Eastwood? I doubt it. And yet both are 'Hollywood' directors.

It isn't about talent, it's about continually loving and training for your craft like any other career. Kate Winslet, amongst many other actors from overseas and a minority here in NA, practices and expands her horizons with many actors who do not necessarily have a plethora of mainstream work (of which most of those are truly tal16d0entless) by doing stagework.
You'll find an awful lot of quotes from actors who say they enjoy the stage more than the silverscreen. More love and more enjoyment in the work by performing in front of a real audience night after night. -

She is long since retired, but actually she's living in San Clemente, CA (not Sacramento, CA) with her husband Todd Corman who was the head coach of the Concordia University (in Irvine, CA) women's basketball team until just recently this year.
I looked her up not long ago after seeing Ghostbusters & remembering what a crush I once had on her! lol

She was indeed very beautiful in her movies and television shows. I particularly liked her in a film she made with Donovan Leitch called "The In Crowd". She's now living a nice, peaceful life in San Clemente with her husband Todd Corman, the nephew of famed director Roger Corman, who is the head woman's basketball coach at Concordia University. She's got two kids and she's retired from the craziness of Hollywood.

Good for her. An actress should look good and make some interesting movies up to around age 30, then find a wonderful man, settle down, get married, have kids, and forget about the movie business. Instead of letting Hollywood chew you up and spit you out, give Hollywood the boot instead. Always leave your audience wanting more. -

She is still incredible beautiful. I saw her in a store the other day in Orange County and noticed how much prettier in person she was. Gillian Anderson was the same way, much prettier without all the film makeup.
