I sit here and listen and cry joyfully as Cicely is giving an Oscar winning monologue.
She speaks her reality and it resonates with me in ways that make me love and respect her even more as a person, personality and kindred spirit.
Yes! Life is for living your truth. -

I understand what you mean by "crying joyfully." I go through the same thing when I watch her. Her presence, voice, and the articulate insightfulness that she expresses her thoughts with is nothing short of mesmerizing to me. I feel "divinely favored" by being alive during her lifetime and having the opportunity to experience her work as well as the emotional journey that I am bound to go on as she acts through so many stages of the human condition in what seems to be accomplished in such an effortless way. I love the convictions that she has about her work. In my opinion, Ms. Cicely Tyson is a phenomenal human being with one of the highest regards for life, humanity, and the PURPOSE of the individual.
