Maybe those were "hits" to you because they were released to country radio for a minute and then never heard of again but having a "hit" usually means that it's a known song that EVERYONE knows (and likes or dislikes). You are the only person who knows the songs that you listed.
People can't forget about him because he's a joke. The only time that he name used to come up in reference had been because of his mullet and his ONE song. -

amelia lourdes, you're so effing dumb.
I DO NOT LISTEN to country music. Not AT ALL. During my senior year of high school (1992-93) I worked at a clothing store that played a country station over the PA all the time. The songs that other poster listed that were out then (which is most of them) were played ALL THE TIME all through that year. "You are the only person who knows the songs that you listed" is an unbelievably arrogant and just plain stupid thing to say. -

They were played "all the time" on one country music station. Does that mean that those songs transitioned to mainstream radio at any point during that one year? No. Therefore, one hit wonder.
So, way to go. You just made yourself look like a jackass. -

I'm the jackass? You're the one supposing that YOUR definition of "one-hit wonder" is the be-all end-all of definitions. Who the hell made you God? I don't really give a sht one way or the other, but you're the one taking such an obnoxiously hard line about something pretty meaningless. You're an arrogant dipsht.

Look, I know you're probably one of those people that still go to Billy Ray concerts and still believe that he's "famous" for his own name in some capacity but name calling like we're on a playground just shows that a bunch of red necks does not a smart person make. And I've stooped to your level. Instead, I'm just going to educate you.
"A one-hit wonder is a music industry term to describe an artist generally known for only one hit single."
"More commonly, however, one-hit wonders are serious-minded musicians who struggled to continue their success after their popularity waned."
"Billy Ray Cyrus reached #1 with "Achy Breaky Heart" in 1992; although he had many other country hits, he did not return to the Top 40 until 2008 with "Ready, Set, Don't Go"; by that time, he had become better-known as an actor and the father of Miley Cyrus, with whom he stars in the series Hannah Montana."
And you obviously give a beep if you're still replying. I'm going to stop now but feel free to display your own ignorance one more time and reply to this. -

people say that Miley is only famous because of who her dad is, when really it's the other way around (he's only famous because of who his daughter is!)
One hit wonder or not, he was already famous before she was, so that cannot possibly be true
