Unfortunately, Josie was cast as the 'booksmart' daughter on Charles in Charge and Nicole Egert was cast as the 'popular' daughter. She was still in that akward stage and they tended to dress her in safe outfits and do cutsie things to her hair. Nicole was already peaking and was dressed in the hootchie outfits and trendy hairstyles. The comparison of the 2 only dragged Josie down as the dowdy, nerdy sister of the hotty boy magnet. I would never have called her ugly, but she wasn't really given much of a chance to prove herself.

This is just a quick cast photo. (In case you don't recognize her, that's her on the right in the pink sweater. LOL) The only other ones I know of are on incredibly slow web sitesmost of which are insanely dedicated to Nicole Egert. But this photo

give you an idea of what I am saying in my above statement.
I feel her "ugly" days were just a few short years of her life and her beauty now will be long lived and well celebrated! -

I always found her to be a cutie on Charles In Charge, whom they made up to look homely. Granted, Nicole Eggert was quite stunning in those days, and rightfully received alot of attention. But Josie was still a cutie that grew up to be one of the most beautiful women in the World.

Oh, people could be such idiots. I'd like to see the teen- and preteen pix of those who'd call her "ugly" in CIC. I bet THEY weren't winning any prizes
I'm glad she showed them wrong by growing up to be the beautiful woman she is today. And with the volunteer work she does, it shows she's likely to be as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
Glad I caught mention of her today (ie, from the "today's-their-birthday" list), so Happy Birthday, Josie! -

i thinks weird that people are riping on nicole. i am a big charles in charge fan and a bigger nicole eggert fan. they both look great and nicole is a mom now and i think desevres some more repect. theres no rips on joise on the nicole board and i would be the first person to tell them that not needed. also i don't ever remember anyone saying joise was ever ugly. nicole has been stunning all here life and hope to see both them in some big projects in the near future. lets be happy there still working in hollywood for over 20 years. joise 21 years 1984 to 2005 and nicole almost up to 25 years. i am happy for them both.

She's clearly had some plastic surgery, not that anything is wrong with that.
Her nose is smaller and less bulbous.
Also her breast look awfully big for a woman with her slender frame.
There are probably very few actresses/actors in Hollywood that haven't had some plastic surgery. -

It dismayed me to see her as a reporter in a rice chex commercial.. I think it was rice chex. Sure it is money and more exposure.. but shes been around for awhile.
Kind of reminscent of Dave Spade doing cap 1 commercials.

I can't believe this is the same woman as the one from Charles in Charge!
I mean, she was cute on that show, but she is gorgeous now. (I never thought of her as ugly.)
It is good to see she is still acting.
