Eminem presents docu STANS on August 7th for one Weekend in selected Cinemas
Following its critically acclaimed premiere at the inaugural SXSW festival in London earlier this year, the new Eminem-produced docu STANS hits theaters for a weekend (aka two days) on August 7th. Tickets for this highlight are available only at stansmovie.com. Moving, funny and insightful, the docu offers a raw and gripping look at Eminem's legendary career — as seen through the eyes of his most loyal fans. Eminem's song "Stan" released in 2000, is about an obsessive, unstable fan and long since became a cult classic. The term

was even officially added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2017.
The song and its plot serve as the leitmotif for this unconventional docu, which follows a group of real-life
stans
. Fans whose connection to Eminem reflects many of the themes running through his lyrics.

Bach's Legacy
How his Music continues to shape Hits today
He died 275 years ago, but Johann Sebastian Bach's compositions live on today in jazz or
songs by the Beatles, Lady Gaga and Eminem - as quotations, allusions or rhythmic inspiration.
Bach's music often swings and dances in a groove all its own. This groove inspired many musicians, including the French pianist, arranger and composer Jacques Loussier. With his trio
"Play Bach"
Loussier adapted countless works by Johann Sebastian Bach since the 1950s, making history — as arguably the best-known, but by no means the only jazz musician to draw on Bach. The acclaimed debut album by a Swedish trio calling itself
"Bach Jazz"
was released in 2024.
Bach Jazz
and Jacques Loussier are among a number of performers who made several of Bach's works their own and studied him intensively. But that's not the only way to commemorate him. Many musicians do so more briefly and sometimes even somewhat discreetly, only occasionally hinting at a reference. Such as the Beatles, whose affinity to Bach shines through in songs like
"Blackbird"
and
"All You need is Love"
but also in the trumpet solo in
"Penny Lane"
, which is inspired by the piccolo trumpet's appearance in the Second Brandenburg Concerto.

The Beach Boys also paid homage to Bach. Their song
"Lady Lynda"
is based on the chorale
"Jesus bleibet meine Freude"
[= Jesus stays my Joy], which serves as the instrumental introduction. The chorale is one of Bach's greatest hits, as is the Air from the Orchestral Suite in D Major. This air has a special life of its own in pop music - immortalized, for example, by the soft rock classic
"A whiter Shade of Pale"
by the band Procol Harum and by
"Everything's gonna be alright"
by Sweetbox from 1998.
An Organ Toccata by Eminem: Would Bach have rapped along?
Bach's music fits into pretty much all musical styles. Lady Gaga begins her song
"Bad Romance"
in the official music video with a short prelude by Bach. It's a quote from the B minor fugue from The Well-Tempered Clavier, albeit at an over-the-top tempo and rattling through mechanically. Even a supposed bad boy like Eminem draws on Bach. When he raps along to an excerpt from the famous organ toccata in the song
"Brainless"
accompanied by a piano sample. Such sounds certainly wouldn't have occurred to the composer 275 years ago. I wonder if he's turning in his grave or secretly rapping and grooving along?

Eminem sues "Swim Shady"
Eminem achieved worldwide fame with
"The Real Slim Shady"
in 2000. Eminem now stands up for his life's work and takes legal action against an Australian beachwear company called
"Swim Shady"
and officially filed a complaint with the USA's Patent and Trademark Office in September. According to his lawyers, the company attempts to create a false association with the rapper – and profit from it. His legal team emphasized that the name is
"unique, famous and closely linked to his career"
.
The Sydney-based company was founded in 2024 and sells beach accessories such as parasols and beach bags. It originally launched under the name
"Slim Shade"
— no wonder Eminem's team raised the alarm. The trademark
"Swim Shady"
was registered in the USA this year and shortly afterward, Eminem filed a lawsuit.
The rapper also officially objected to the trademark in Australia. The problem? Eminem himself only trademarked
"Slim Shady"
in Australia in January 2025 — significantly later than in the USA, where he held the trademark since 1999.
Nevertheless, the company behind
Swim Shady
puts up a fight and declared in a statement that it will
"defend its valuable intellectual property, which was founded with the desire to produce stylish and effective parasols and other items designed to protect against the harsh Australian sun"
. According to the BBC, they declined to comment further.
The Countdown is on
The U.S. rapper submitted his petition to the USA's Patent and Trademark Office in September 2025.
The company must respond to the petition by next week at the latest (end of November 2025)…or shut down the company.

Only two weeks left to play Eminem vs. Slim Shady in HITMAN World of Assassination!
IO Interactive shares how players are doing so far in the new Elusive Target mission.
The mission is free as part of the Free Starter Pack and is available to HITMAN WOA players on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, ROG Xbox Ally X, ROG Xbox Ally, PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, iPhone, iPad and in VR on PS VR2 and PC VR. The DLC pack is also available and can be purchased until the mission ends on December 31, 2025.
Eminem vs. Slim Shady quickly became a standout Elusive Target in HITMAN, challenging
players to face one of the most unpredictable targets Agent 47 ever encountered.
So far, only 31% of players successfully completed the mission, demonstrating its unforgiving nature. Creativity also played a role, with 4% devising an explosive solution to eliminate Eminem during the live broadcast and 6% using the S'ghetti sandwich to complete the mission.
