Indeed. They are Siculo-Arabic, infact, with a lot of influence from Italy after the era in which they were in Sicily.

Wrong, linugistically they share a related language to Arabic because of Sicilians migrating to Malta, but genetically there has been shown to have been little impact from the Arab conquerors.

That is just pop-genetics beep For some reason the ''scientists'' who make such claims never seem to know about genetic drift. They descend from Arabs, it is just that they have been mixing with their close neighbours, such as Italy, for hundreds of years now so the genetics we can see are mostly the more recent Italian ones. That is how genetics works.
