Laura Innes really is leaving ER???

Umm I hate to crush all of your guys hearts, but thats what it looks like. Its not even Kerry hired him in season 6. The whole reason he is still in the ER working at County after Clemente is because of Kerry. She could have let the whole thing fall on Luka. She could have walked away from the whole ordeal, but no, she took the fall. She admitted to it, and took the fall getting put back down into the ER for it. She saved Luka's job, and now he is going to fire her?! WTF. Seriously, and Kerry is one of the most career oriented people on the show, and look how they are showing her the way out, by firing her. I see a "tiny" problem with that. Kerry finally gets a story line, a new love interest, and what happens? ITs time for Kerry to leave. Well thats BS, and I am not a happy camper. If Laura Innes wants more time to be a director, by all means, Laura does some of the better episodes, but that doesnt mean Weaver needs to be fired. What about Morris? What about Pratt? There are other people to fire besides Kerry, and Luka is going to regret is decision.

UMMThis is what ER is all about shocking the audience, they killed off Dr. Greene, Lucy, Dr. Galant, Dr. Romano, Dr. Gant and other characters have gone off to do other endeavors. Maybe Laura was done after 11 1/2 seasons. The writers can use just about any story line and turn it on a dime. Me it took awhile for me to warm up to Dr. weaver's character but I think for the turning point was after sandy died. Maybe not one of the original cast member, but a 2nd season addition, she has done her part for the show and will be missed.

Tonight's episode wasn't the final for Dr Weaver. Next week they actually say goodbye. I think that she is pivotal to the show and foresee the ending of ER in the very near future. Luka is a jerk and should be written out as should Dr Morris who really IS a prick.

Old whatshisface who plays Luka is leaving at the end of series anyway.Why has Luka become such a colossal jerk recently?I know the whole Forrest Whittaker thing was a bit of a strain, but seriously,self important jumped-upsorry,ranting againI don't want Kerry to leave because she is the coolest character-the reminants of back when ER was serious telly, not some Greys Anatomy/Scrubs
influenced hybrid thing.ER has well and truly jumped the shark.Maybe Laura Innes just did not want to be associated with it any longer.She should turn up as th tenth cylon in Battlestar Galactica and truly shock everyone.Scrag match between Kerry Weaver and Laura Roslin anyone?Place your bets here!!

Ugh that sucks
I missed tonight's episodeso i guess i'll have to see it later. And to think , Weaver was just getting back into the show with her saving that choking kid and her getting her leg operation. -_-
I hope she pulls a Sherry Stringfield (Susan) and returns sometime later or atleast in a guest appearance. -

i'm really bummed she is leaving. she is great on the show. i liked at the end where she hugged abby. i have a feeling that next week's episode will be very emotional and you will see the actor's true emotions come out through their characters.

but i agree.. i hadn't heard anything about laura innes leaving the show and i'm truly sad she's going!!! she is a really talented actress/director though and she's probably moving on to bigger things!! -

I was crying!!! Especially when she hugged Abby. OMG I've been in love with Weaver since I was 6 years old! (when she started) And now she's leaving.
Man.. Weaver is just amazing and I love how everyone was like "NO! They can't do that Luka can't do that!" This women/character has really helped me alot.. here I am, a gay teen looking up to someone who went through the same struggle I am dealing with. She's a real role model to me. Laura is an amazing actress and will truly be missed on this show. -

Does anyone know why she is leaving? I heard she makes $400,000 per episode - the highest paid of the cast. Maybe NBC decided to cut costs? I hate the fact that they fired Alex Kingston because she was "too old" (according to an interview with her) and just when Kerry is given more to do, she gets fired too.
